Once I stopped listening to what others were telling me to do and followed my own heart, I realized who I truly was.

Ants floating on water.
They can do this by releasing an oily substance which helps them to clump together. Their exoskeleton also has hydrophobic qualities. This, combined with the surface tension properties of water, means a cluster of ants can float on water with no problem. [video]

*Quotes from the popular Jdrama, Hana Yori Dango s2 (english translation)*
Tsukasa: Makino, have you ever had figs?
Makino: huh?
Tsukasa: Figs. What do they taste like?
Makino: I think they are a bit sweet and a bit sour?
Tsukasa: Figs, if you cut it from the middle, it becomes a heart shape. So people say the sweet and sour taste of figs is the taste of love.
Makino:(laughing) What do you mean??
Tsukasa: This is what a Pakistani I met in NY told me.
Makino:(playfully) Is it true?
Tsukasa: But to me, the taste of love is what you made...the taste of those awful cookies.
*awwwwwww.......*

Similar to its cousin true ginger (Z. officinale) the rhizomes of this plant can be ground up and eaten, and are used to treat many ailments including indigestion. The flower cones contain a soapy liquid that can be used for washing giving this species another common name; Shampoo Ginger. Follow for more plant facts and photos!
