To Titan With the new option to change our Guardian's look, I may full on retire Nova-4 as a whole, starting with a new story for my Titan gal, and make Nova into a lightless darkness wielding character. I started playing on a Win 7 PC, now on a Win 10 pc.

I wonder if this is why he chose a bow as a marriage proposal. A bow was also a gift of choice during the Dawning. Sjur may have awoken something in Shaxx, and the love of bows blossomed from it.

Serious Talk: Healing

Talks of cancer and death ahead. In lieu of the Shaxx update, I think it's time I open up about why he is important to me.

Not everyone knows this, but I started playing Destiny 2 as a Human Warlock. That was my main. During Crimson Days 2018, I got news that my father had passed. I was on my human warlock at the time. I couldn't look at her anymore. That's when Nova-4 was originally made. I learned some things about my father that hurt. That he was more fatherly to someone else's daughter than he was to me. That hurt the worst. That hurt lingered with me for a long time. I rarely saw him. Even when it mattered most during my fight with cancer. During Crimson Days 2019, the year of firsts (first full year without someone you knew a long time) was hitting hard. Crimson Days 2019 had The Vow bow came out. So, instead of focusing on the pain, hurt, and anger I felt, I distracted myself by trying to get the Bow. It worked. I played crimson days non-stop. Kept getting bounties from Shaxx, kept calming the rewards. I kept playing, and playing, distracting myself from the hurt. Instead of feeling my heart sink with sadness, it was pounding with adrenaline from Crimson Doubles. As silly or as stupid as it sounds. That game mode saved me. It saved me from going down a dark path. Saved me from thinking and focusing on the pain. Saved me from possibly turning into someone else for the worse. The game mode gave me something to focus on. In turn, I got a weapon I ended up loving. That Bow became my most prized and used weapon for a long, long time. I never took it off. It was not because I love and adore Shaxx as a character, but for a more personal reason. One I never really shared. Because it was a symbol of survival and healing. That even when I am hurting the most, even when I am angry at the world, I can still accomplish goals that I wish to accomplish. Now, six years later, I have found peace. I made peace with the memories and hurt. I was able to forgive my father. He may not have been the dad I wanted, but he is still my father. He still did his best to provide, even if it wasn't his time. Six years later, I am able to play a Human Warlock again. I can play Human Warlock without feeling any pain, anger, or sadness. Six years later, I was able to sever the ties between the game and reality. Six years later... I begin to heal. If you wondered why I love Shaxx as a character... you have a better idea now.

Whenever I do feel like posting content on this blog again, you may see new Guardians (again, I know). Just to give me something to do, and to mess around with whatever new goodies we get from now to The Final Shape (whenever I get it). I may also just, "reboot" a few things. Change up character's stories and whatnot. The much older content may end up getting it's own tag or just "archived memories." Keeping things from past game play but not tying it into the characters themselves, if that makes sense.

I am taking a break from all things Destiny. I just can't find any enjoyment in it right now. Don't know when I'll feel like playing again.
