Film: Ready Player One (2018)

I know I have been lax on doing write-ups for the films I have been viewing. Life gets in the way of the best-laid plans.
This film promised a pop culture ridden, video game reference filled action film and delivered on all accounts. They are all over the place. It’s a perfect film for the nostalgia generation. I’m a huge fan of all the art referenced in this film. It’s a film for classic nerds that also caters to the section of the population that has never seen an Atari in action.
The film itself is decent and predictable. It achieves its goal of being a visual special. I found myself knowing exactly what was going to happen but I didn't care because it looked so cool.
Recomended for the nerd in all of us.

I couldn’t have done this project without visiting this film. It’s the top rated on IMDB and has been for quite a while with a whopping 9.3 stars. I love and hate this ranking system. It’s not the definitive ranking of the best films of all time. It’s more like a raking of the films that have a stake in North American pop culture. You watch any of the films on this list and you are going to have a good time. But if you are looking for films filled with strong female characters look elsewhere. Films also get votes by who is interested in voting so the popular films get more votes.
The story of this film is incredibly well put together and well paced. It keeps you in the loop long enough and gives the viewer just enough hints that they don't feel duped. It’s a great film that for sure. Plus its got some rewatch value which is a bonus for me.
