being a self shipper uncomfortable with doubles/sharing fucking sucks. people are so fucking nasty and for what
people in the self ship community that are okay with doubles 9 times out of 10 make you feel bad for not being okay with it
and people outside of the community look at you like youre a freak and they try to shit out "ohh gatekeeping gatekeeping"
like many people dont understand why some self shippers dont like sharing nor do they take the time to understand.
many self shippers dont just self ship with a character bcus "oh attractive ooh theyre my type" but because they have a deep personal and spiritual bond with said character, that character brings them a wave of comfort, safety, and serenity better that anything in reality can. seeing someone else love up on them and be like "omg i feel the same" when you gush about them literally feels like someone saying that about your ACTUAL partner. and it hurts so fucking much.
non sharing self shippers arent trying to gatekeep a character, they arent trying to stop others from enjoying/self shipping with them, they just want people to refrain from doing it around them.
like dude im not some twisted childish bitch im just trying to avoid distress and a complete breakdown. thx.

imagine your f/o kissing a photo of you. 🖼️
you walk into their room, hoping to check up on them because they have been inside for quite some time. you take a little peek from the slightly ajar door, scanning the room to find what you're looking for.
but what you see is not what you expect.
there, in the dimly lit room, sat your f/o in their desk. their hand holds a framed photo of you, taken in one of your trips together. they softly gaze at your smiling face, their fingers ever so gently trace the lines of the frame. the sight takes you by surprise.
and then, they lift the frame and bring it closer to their lips. closer, closer, until their lips meet with the cold glass of the frame. your eyes widen. your heart skips a beat.
"hey," you call out, breathless.
they immediately turn around and blush, "hey—! i... i didn't notice you were there..." they stutter.
you cross the room and stand beside their desk. "what... what are you doing?"
they blush harder, letting out a sigh. "i... i just..." then they look into your eyes, "i just... missed you, that's all."
you blink in confusion, then laugh at their confession. "oh, you silly." you say as you wrap your arms around their neck, "im right here if you need to kiss me, you know."
they laugh as well, "yeah." as they lean into your embrace, "i know."

Hello there, I'm Snowkit, you can call me Snowcreek, I'm a Warrior Cats fictive who's fictosexual. I'm dipping my paws publicly into the selfship community! I use he/him and xe/xir, with xe/xir most preferred(even though I forgot that on my strawpage) and am genderfaun.
I selfship with Mermista from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and wish for Merhawk/Seamista shippers, Catraadora shippers, JK Rowling supporters, and those who believe fictives are just as bad as their source counterparts, to not interact with me.
I plan on posting stuff about what it's like being a fictosexual fictive.
My ask box is open btw, if you have any questions, but keep in mind I have social (and just general) anxiety, and so may struggle with responses to asks sometimes, but that's also why I made this blog to be more social!
