I know I don't use this blog often, but I just wanted to capture this because it makes me smile.

Edward and I are talking, bantering about something not all that important, while cuddle. He was laughing, a wide grin that reached his eyes so they all crinkley. He looks so beautiful like this, lit up from inside with joy and love and youth. He looked almost...well, he looked 17. Young and in love – in love with me, but also with life, with himself, I hope.

I couldn't help but want to touch him, so I snuggled closer and I ran my lips over the nearest part of his body, which was the area under his collarbone. I just thought, "I love you" and it isn't a new thought, but it is special each time. I thought, "I love you, I'm so glad you're mine, I'm so glad I could see this". And I thought, "I'm so happy" because I can't think of anything that makes me happier than knowing my mate is happy.

So really, we're so happy. Happy and in love and I never want this to eat. He rested his hand on my head for a second and it is like... He just understood. That makes sense, even without telepathy, Edward was known for being good at reading people. That just makes me happier, that he knows how I'm feeling. I like to think he's feeling similar, just happy that I'm happy and in love. Just a constant loop of happiness and bliss.

You'd think it'd be Ritsuka since he's naturally more prone to blushing. He can always get flustered or embarrassed easily with PDA, but can also get very uncomfortable by it, so we don't do it much. But others around us would say him for sure. In reality, it's probably me.

I'm more boisterous and showy in relationships to compensate, but I get undone by really small gestures like him linking our fingers together or just suddenly dropping a compliment. He'll just be doing something and then notice I have something in my hair and remove it, and I just melt. I'll flush and stamper and I'm positive Ritsuka loves doing it for that reason, even if he's never said it.

Which one’s the nerd of the relationship? Who’s the one who still stutters when they compliment the other? WHO IS SOFT? 

My dear Ritsuka... So unloved and obscure even his creator got bored and has been on hiatus for years... :/

But that's okay because I love him so much it doesn't even matter. Not mention Natsuo and Youji, our best friends! He is loved by those that matter! <3

i'm here for the shippers who are into the unpopular thing. whose f/os are completely unknown or uncared about by anyone. whose content is not really understood or rarely supported. it doesn't matter if you don't like the popular thing or the popular characters or ones that everyone knows. i see you. it doesn't make your ship or content any less great.

God I love the diversity of characters that people f/o.

I’ve seen people ship with Spongebob, and with Steve from Blues Clues, and with Animal Crossing villagers. I’ve seen people shipping with characters from obscure amusement park shows, borderline background characters, and characters who most wouldn’t even really consider characters. I’ve seen people ship with characters that everyone knows like Disney characters, the Looney Tunes, even Mario, and Sonic characters.

Just proves that no matter how small you may feel, there will always be someone that sees something special in you like that. The admiration and absolutely love we have for these characters, and that connection. Agh! Priceless.

Imagine you're in a cafe/diner at night with your f/o. The two of you are sitting at a table, staring into the other's eyes. A romantic song starts playing through the building's radio. How fitting, and it seems your f/o thought so as well. With a warm expression, your f/o calmly reaches across the table and holds your hand, gently tightening their grip. Everything else seems to dissolve into the background as your attention becomes solely focused on your f/o's face. You can feel their thumb tenderly kneading your hand in circular motions.

How beautiful. Not simply hearing those three magic words, but also hearing your name spoken so lovingly by the one you absolutely adored. You repeat the same to them, cherishing the fact that their love is for you, and you only. The mood is serene as you are both lost in romantic thoughts. Both so enthralled by the other, any passerby lucky enough to witness such pure love wouldn't find it difficult at all to imagine silly, cartoonish hearts manifesting between you two.

This brings me back to the time when I was having a nightmare in real life and Edward woke me up.

I'm not joking. Completely disconnected from the dream itself, I heard Edward's voice calling my name insistently and I woke up suddenly because of it. I literally woke up saying, "Edward?" and looking around for him while my brain tried to understand what just happened.

Edward woke me up from a nightmare. He loves me so much that he, like, crossed the planes of reality and spacetime in order to make sure I was okay.

Imagine your f/o comforting you after a nightmare. Whatever it was, whether you wake up shouting or just by snapping your eyes open quietly, they can sense that something’s wrong.

They assure you that you’re safe, either by giving you space or holding you close. Whether you want to cry, talk about it, or just go back to sleep, they’re there for you no matter what.

Edward and I are nearly officially together... I just sort of have to officially ask him. I know this is our third time together, but that's okay... Each time we learn and grow! And really, we broke up for, like, a couple of weeks purely due to mental health so really it was more like a little break away...

I know Edwaed still loves me! I still love him so much!

As someone who is not in the Tumblr and Twitter culture, what is this "purity" stuff? It has something to do with the Japanese fandom that want all the idols and fictional characters to be virgin and pure and hate if they had any relationship? prior?

I have no knowledge of Japanese idol culture, so that may be an unrelated phenomenon. 

What’s I’m referring to is the misuse and abuse of social justice rhetoric and emotionally charged terms like pedophilia and incest to attempt to police what fictional characters and ships other people are allowed to like. Adult or teenage characters with even small age gaps are pedophilic if you ship them together, characters who ever claim to be like family to one another might as well be literal incest, villains should never be redeemed and hero/villain ships are automatically abusive, doing pretty much anything ever with any character of color is racist somehow, erotic fanwork is either completely out of the question or only acceptable if it’s as soft and vanilla as possible, and so on and so on.

In reality this is just the form that character wank and shipping wars have taken in online fandom in the last few years, but now it comes with this self-righteousness veneer that posits that your tastes in fandom are directly reflective of your real life moral. It’s obnoxious, but at least it’s occasionally fun to mock.
