”Free will is a length of rope and God wants you to hang yourself with it” is such a RAW line for Cas to say like whoever wrote that sentence needs a Nobel prize for literature

i hate data structure so fucking much, and what bothers me the most is that i actually like the way the teacher explains things and in theory i'd say I'm good at the subject, but the practice is what gets me so mad

UNPOPULAR OPINION
You can’t enjoy and praise the benefits of Feyre getting n.esta out of the apartment while also shaming her for getting her out. You can’t shame her decisions without also addressing the multitude of other things Feyre did to help during acofas. You can’t suggest that Feyre was wrong without realistically suggesting anything else that would’ve worked for n.esta. You can’t shame Feyre for doing something but also saying that she didn’t do anything

I'm so bored right now, not sure what to do with myself at this hour.
So, a few months back, I finished up the Folk of the Air trilogy, and man, I loved it! The whole story was awesome, the characters were even better, and the world-building was pretty solid.
As I was reading, I never really settled on a single image for any character. It's funny how my mental picture of them kept changing as I went along.
Anyway, here's my fancast. It's not super accurate, just how I imagine some characters based on what Ms. Holly described and some actor that I think fit well with the characters. But if you think differently about any of my choices, feel free to drop a comment!
Locke
I despised Locke so much, and a part of me wanted to picture him as ugly or something, but I couldn't bring myself to it because Jude kept emphasizing how the fae were supposed to be really beautiful, and Locke was handsome (I mean she fell for him and ik my girl has good taste). I think Froy Gutierrez would be a good pick
Tumblr media
Vivienne
My girl, my wife, she wasn't the perfect sister, but unlike some folks, she didn't go betraying anyone just to get what she wanted. Renne Rapp was the closest match I could think of when picturing Vivi's looks.
Tumblr media
The Bomb
I never really pictured The Bomb as an adult or even someone in their late teens, but rather as someone young and tiny, probably around 14 or so. And lately, I've been loving Leah's work on Percy Jackson, so I think she'd be awesome here too. So, everyone, Leah Sava Jeffries.
Tumblr media
Heather
She's cute and makes my girl happy, so I like her. Have y'all watched "Bodies Bodies Bodies"? I picture her like Amandla Stenberg in that movie—very artsy, very alternative. (Honestly, I don't know why.)
Tumblr media
And that's about it, now I'm tired and ready to sleep.
Have a nice night, wherever you are.

I fucking hate when people go this far to excuse men behavior just because they want him
I can't believe there are people in this fandom who say Mor lied about what happened at Autumn Court and led Azriel on for centuries. We have people say Gwyn, an SA survivor, has manipulate everyone with her lightsinger power and she wasn't actually SA'ed and undermine her strength in Blood Rite. We have people say Feyre overreacted and minimise her trauma and depression to nothing after UTM and calling her ungrateful...
All of these over another man's action...
While Eris didn't try to help her and y'all make a hero out of him for not touching her. I know why he did it but the fact that you all find an excuse for his actions and go as far as calling Mor a liar because you try to find more excuse for him. (don't forget he slut shamed her in front of all the high lords...)
While Azriel is the one who's been panting after Mor for centuries while Mor couldn't be more obvious about how she doesn't want to do anything with him and you didn't even consider how she might not trust him enough to tell him the truth but somehow... Mor is at fault. Somehow Azriel, not even trying to talk to her once and discuss their situation and create a safe space for her and try to be her real friend instead of trying to be in a relationship with her and waiting for a mate bond to snap, is the victim here... you all don't find his actions creepy at all because he's a "shadow daddy". While Azriel still couldn't say he's over Mor to Rhysand and at the same time tried to fck Elain without thinking anything more about her (no future whatsoever), but somehow... somehow is Gwyn's fault, who used her lightsinger power to prevent it to happen and manipulate Azriel all the same... all of this is being said because of Azriel's own actions and you don't want to blame him and hold him accountable for his doings, so you find (create) these disgusting excuses.
While Tamlin only sat there for 3 months and didn't even try to help Feyre and y'all excuse his lack of action for protecting, but he could get her alone right before the night of her last trial... while he sat there begged on his knees and didn't even try to stop Amarantha, and in the main time each bones in Feyre's body was breaking. And you still find an excuse for him locking Feyre and not listening to her about how she's suffering, how she's drowning, for him being "traumatised"... but Feyre died for him and saved his court and people and the whole Prythian and destroyed herself in the process but you all don't even see it... and go as far as calling Feyre a coward for hesitating to kill those faeries...

oh, totally, people are just weird
I was scrolling through Pinterest when I came across a post about QON chapter 21 and some comments were crazy with purity obsession. There’s people out there who really think that having sex ruins a character. The series is YA, so, not explicit, but the sexually liberated, partying naked, several lovers, staring-at-your-crush-while-kissing-other-people culture of the Folk is often brought up. So I don’t see why people trouble themselves reading the books if the subject bothers them so much.
Someone really said that Jude and Cardan’s first time was degrading and out of character for Jude - I’m sorry, what?? How is a young married couple having sex degrading? Jude had the hots for Cardan from the get go, even in TCP (even though back then she was too busy hating his attitude and his bullshit to realise and that ended up severally repressing and undermining her physical attraction to him), the moment she kissed him and enjoyed it a little too much she was DOOMED. She was raging and furious while simultaneously imagining his mouth on her in the Queen of Mirth scene. She gave in into him in the very first (actual, physical) move he made on her, dude kissed her and their clothes were gone, consequences be damned. They spent months apart, were missing each other badly and were horny. So, yeah, them sleeping together was, in fact, very in character and expected. Jude provoking him with his fantasies and losing her virginity on top was on point with the girl she is and I wouldn’t expect anything less from her lol.
People really need to stop purifying fictional characters so they can fit into their niche needs and they really really need to stop demonizing sex. It’s how you ended up in the world in the first place. It’s normal. Most people do it. If you don’t feel up to it, there’s no need to do it or consume media where it’s portrayed in a nice and positive way. Go find a shape in the clouds before shaming people (both real and fictional) for normal human (and faerie, of course) behaviour.

I know you can imagine characters the way you like, and that there's a difference between canon and headcanon. But still, it irks me every time I see fanart or fanfic where Jude is described as skinny like a model or with perfect skin and no scars.
I'm like, wtf Jude was raised as a warrior, she spent most of her time training, fighting, and doing physical activities that require strength and stuff. My girl is jacked, she has muscles, big shoulders, and arms (since it is said in the books she has kinda big boobs), she probably has a wide back."
Regarding her skin, we know she's been hurt A LOT, so she obviously has a couple of scars around her body. Something I've noticed a lot is that people tend to forget she doesn't have a finger, so, yeah…

why does coffee not work on me??
I'm on a virtual class rn (8pm - 10pm), and I'm feeling so sleepy. I've already drank my 2nd cup of coffee, and the caffeine is not kicking yet.
tf is wrong with me? is not the first time this happened, actually now that I think about it coffee has never had the same effect on me that in the other kids (in Colombia everyone drinks coffee since quite a young age)

enough is enough.
I don't know who the fuck is Ember Quinlan I don't fucking care either. (I think she is a character in Crescent City or smth, idc), but to compare her nugu ass with Sally Jackson is just straight up disrespectful.

I want to know what is wrong with the people who think Jude and Nesta are alike??? be for fucking real, Nesta is even worst than Taryn (mostly because Nesta is such a bad written character while Taryn being an awful one is way more complex and kinda underrated) and that's me reaching.

Have you ever had someone compliment you every. single. day? If so, how does it feel? If not, would you like if someone did? Like, every singe day. Or would you find it annoying?
(Ps; im trying to gather all sorts of opinions on this so ill be asking other people too)
I used to get compliments every day, and it got annoying as hell. I believe it's okay to be nice to people, but constant compliments can make them uncomfortable. If you insist on doing it, at least keep it casual and natural, not repetitive or weird—more like a gradual and genuine thing.
