I think you've understood by now that this will be 100 days in different styles. The only common thing is the theme. So here is a nib pen raccoon. I remember when I got my first nib pen. I was so happy. The sound against the paper, the lines that you could feel by touch, the super fine lines you can create with it, and the intense blackness. I copied Ilon Wikland and other illustrators that I admired. Later on, I became the only female inker in the group of artists behind a role-playing game. It was my first job as an inker, and I must say that I used the electric eraser a lot. Without me knowing it, they presented me as “Felicia Fortes, a lover of vibrating electronic devices” on the credit page. So typical for that kind of sexist environment. 🙄 And of course, when I worked as a teacher, this presentation of me was something that role-playing pupils discovered for years to come, and I guess that might also have been something the pupils called me behind my back.
