Face practice! I used photo refs (obviously, my faces are horrible without refs). Seem to be getting better, the more I do the less I have to go back and correct wonky features.

I feel like if I work too heavily off references the finished product isn’t really “mine” and I’ve cheated.
Or perhaps I am being unrealistic? I haven't drawn seriously in many years. I’m going to need a lot of practice and refs are good for that.
