(This might not make 100% sense, but here it goes.)
404 wants to take over the world, or at least says that he wants to, because he has trauma and is possibly starved of attention and/or genuine affection.
The humans, back when they were around, discarded him and left him alone. Or at least, did so eventually. I mean, it’s kinda hard not to notice a sentient error message.
Due to this, he doesn’t believe that a human, or anyone else, would ever actually care about him. So he’s gotta stand for himself and hold himself up. Which is why he denies any offers of care or friendship.
It’s also the reason he puts himself above the others in terms of worth and calls himself a king.
He wants to get revenge on the humans of ADHOC, but can’t, so he takes it out on Fandroid and the others. Doesn’t matter, they were his second set of targets anyway. Then again, he only plans to destroy them if they get in his way. As long as they don’t do that, he’ll leave them in their metal box of a facility.
He hates being at ADHOC because the place just reminds him of his days alone. He just wants to be free and get away from everything that reminds him of that place.
If anyone were to ever try and bring up the possibility of him not being ok, he would just scoff and brush them off, since he doesn’t exactly realize himself that he’s not ok. And even if he did, he’d still brush it off and call them idiotic for thinking that.

Fandrew's constant shaking is a feature, not a bug- it's to wear down his battery. At first he was still like Fandroid and the others but the engineers at ADHOC got tired of him really quickly. Constantly moving around like that drains his battery, so he has to charge for a few hours every night as opposed to Fandroid who can stay awake for 2-3 days with no problem (despite his own growing battery issues, due to trying to force himself to stay awake while charging...)
