Hello in memoriam fandom I come bearing memes

People are fine with me autism when my need for direct communication and organization is beneficial. But when it comes to inconveniently asking them to let me know when my tone is being read as passive agressive, when I am missing social cues or when I am having a hard time dealing with emotions outside of rationalization or repression.... then the fact that my autism affects my social communication skills and emotional management starts being problematic.

You can always let me know when my behavior is affecting you, but you can't deny to inform me when that happens and still expect me to notice all of it.

Yes, therapy helps breaking patterns. And overanalizing your social interactions until you have enough anxiety to fuck up your back muscles is in fact a pattern I am trying to break. So either accept the autism and communicate when it affects us, or let me know if it is too much for you. But you can't expect me to stop having the parts of my disorder that inconvenience you the most and to prioritize pretending to do so over breaking years of anxious patterns.

I already have a hard time accepting the ways my brain affects me living in a neurotypical world, I do not need help with the self-hate.
