Hi, thanks for asking! I'll answer your questions like this, hope you don't mind

Indeed, the sample size is small, but I had to run the survey on a quick schedule (this was done for my thesis and I had to turn it in!) And getting people to participate in surveys is harder than you'd imagine! In fact, compared to similar surveys held here on Tumblr, I got a lot of responses! (My teacher thought that 10 people would be enough lol) so even if it's relatively small, I doubt the outcome would vary too much even if I had 5 times more answers. That being said, you're right, it's small, so just take it as it is

Now, there was actually zero bias in choosing the shows, sorry for not mentioning it anywhere, but actually these are the top 10 animated shows listed by Tumblr's fandometrics in the years 2016-2020 I had an initial list of 30 something shows but needed to narrow it down to 10 and I chose the fandoms I believed most people would have heard of, which was the most important part. Adventure Time and The Dragon Prince are in those lists, yes, but overall they both ranked lower in fandometrics than the ones I chose.

Keep in mind I asked people to rate the FANDOM, not the show itself! And then say how interested they would be in watching said show (if they hadn't already). It wasn't a survey about how much they liked a specific show.

(also, I had no followers at all, this is a new account made solely for this study, I had some of my friends fill it but other than that I just used tags and Tumblr blaze!)

And finally, here are the results of the survey! Thanks to all 197 people who participated and helped me gather this data, truly some interesting conclusions to be drawn from this!

Almost 200 responses!

Thanks to everyone that took the time to fill out the survey, it is now closed and I'll be compiling the results and getting to some conclusions over the next few weeks, thank you for your help and your interest in my study!

Over 70 responses so far! And I haven't even blazed this post like I'm planning to yet! Thank you so much for the cooperation so far :)

Here are some early tendencies that I think are interesting:

Almost half of you consider yourselves active members of a fandom, not a big surprise there but it's cool!

SVTFOE and Invader Zim are the lesser known fandoms so far.

The fandoms with the best overall impressions are the Gravity Falls and ATLA fandoms!

On the other hand, the fandoms with the worst impressions are the Voltron fandom and the Rick and Morty fandom
