It’s anticlimactic. It felt great the first day, but the number is the only thing that’s changed. I don’t look any different in my eyes. I’ve been at this plateau for over a month now, but it’s like meh. I went this entire journey only wanting to weigh 105. Now that I’ve reached 105, I suddenly want a thigh gap. It just comes with the illness. No matter what you do, it’ll never be enough. Sadly 💀

Ana buds is honestly toxic and destined to fail from the start. You will end up in competition with each other. It doesn’t matter if you have the same CW, SW, or UGW. Our brains are disordered, people. Your disordered brain will force you into competition with your ‘buddy. ‘ It’s just how it goes. Whether either of you acknowledge it or not, it’ll happen. We have to look the thinnest in order to feel like we’re worth something. Having a buddy just adds another bump in the road on the journey to perfection. It’s already bad, guys. Don’t make it worse.

On the other hand, it could totally work if neither person had an ED and one of them was trying to lose while the other was trying to gain. They’d be going in opposite directions on the scale, so it would lessen the changes of competition.

Having an eating disorder is not fun. It’s not cool or trendy or for attention. We are traumatized, hurting, wanting an escape from what we are dealing with

the bravery of a girl who has to decide what is for dinner and then cook it and then wash dishes every day forever and ever.

I don’t count calories or make meal plans or have fasting days anymore. I drink a lotta water and do legit the bare minimum of exercise. I do random things based purely on how I feel at the moment, but interestingly this randomness has turned into a rhythm. It’s still random tho. I just get up everyday and see what happens; eat whatever I feel like eating IF I feel like eating. No matter what goes on during the week or the weekend, I’ve still been able to drink a Dr. Pepper and eat 5 slices of pizza w/ranch and 2-4 cinnamon rolls every single Thursday for a few months now. That sounds like a horrible binge, but I have suffered no consequences. I somehow still dropped a pound below my UGW. And I’ve done it all w/out laxatives or regurgitation. The point I’m making is that I have never known what I’m doing with myself and I have been flying by the seat of my pants in every area of life that I possibly could be. Since this systemless system has yet to fail me, I’ll never stop. I can get it done if I act like I’m not tryna do it.
