Wander is comforted by Nikita, my partner Ash’s Vortian OC. She’s a tad older than him, thus he occasionally sees her in a maternal light. It’s a rare vulnerability for him, but an important one for a man who was never parented or cared for as a child.
My brain kept zooming in mentally on the image of her laying him down and caressing his cheek, neck, shoulder and collarbone. These are massive points of comfort for me in h/c scenarios, and i feel i captured them well enough here. ♥️

The first pic makes me too happy 😂 i was never EVER confident with drawing apes before doubling down on my take on Lord Hater, but adoration for him and practice OF him has really taught me some cool skills :)
As ridiculous as the first pic is, I’m highly proud of his facial consistency with such a challenging expression and was very diligent to make sure it made sense. Honestly my drawings of Hater are the least appreciated, which is tragic because he’s the one I’ve put the most effort into, and has some of my favorite elements.
