I got an ask about how to speed up metabolism but i accidentally deleted it while I was trying to save it to my drafts, so I’m sorry about that.
Tips for speeding up ur metabolism!!
1. Exercise. It's the most obvious yet the most effective way to speed up your metabolism. If moving seems hard to you, just think of all the calories you could be burning while doing each movement.
2. Caffeine. Coffee, energy drinks, kopiko, green tea, anything with caffeine has been shown to increase metabolism by 3-11%. Be careful not to have more than 400mg of caffeine a day, especially when your not eating much as the effects can be stronger usually not in a good way.
3. Cold temperatures. Anything that's cold such as a cold room, cold drink, or cold shower like you mentioned will temporarily speed up your metabolism as your body uses that energy to warm you up. This has been proven true, but I don't think it makes a noticeable difference if i'm honest.
4. Eat protein. One component of your metabolism is known as TEF (thermic effect of food) or DIT (dietary induced thermogenesis). Basically this means that ur body burns a % of the calories in the food just by digesting it. Contrary to popular belief, not all calories are made equal. Fat provides 9 calories per gram, and its TEF is 0-3%. Carbohydrate provides 4 calories per gram, and its TEF is 5-10%. Protein also provides 4 calories per gram, but it's TEF is 20–30%. So yeah protein is best.
5. Water. Cold water can speed up your metabolism, but drinking water in general will help you lose weight and reduce bloating.
Sorry again for deleting ur question 🫠 i hope the person who asked ends up seeing this lol

Some Apps Which Help Me!
I've been doing this for a few years and have tried every app and website! When I relapse, I come back to the same few, here they are!
-https://www.fatcalc.com/rwl (Great for seeing how long it will take you to reach a certain weight which certain cals, but won't go under 1,000 cals so estimate)
-Lifesum (Best food tracker I have found and great for logging daily weights, I like the food scanning ability and you can track food by the gram if you have a food scale)
-Zero (Great fasting tracker with a ton of great communities you can join, good if you like to compete against others)
-C25K (I use this when I'm running because cardio is the best for weight loss, talks you through running and walking intervals)
-Tumblr (OFC to share and learn more, talk to others who also experience similar thinking patterns)
-YouTube (Surprisingly has a lot of restriction content if you search the right words)

❧SKNTYQ’s WL RULES
1. FRUITS FOR SNACKS
Eating fruits for snacks and cutting out snack food is one decision i don’t regret. i don’t even see the need for snack food anymore tbh. if there’s anything to “cut out” of your diet it’s SNACK FOOD + FAST FOOD.
2. CARDIO EVERY DAY
do not train abs or glutes every day please. cardio for weight loss, then muscle building like 2x a week so you get toned body results.
3. SWITCH UP THE WORKOUTS
the reason you’re maintaining is because,
a - you’re literally ⭐️ving
b - you do the same bs every day
your body will catch on to whatever you’re doing and it’ll cling onto the weight. also if u ⭐️ve it doesn’t work. IT DOESNT WORK.
i made a cute playlist of workouts and i pick one i haven’t done in the past week.
4. Portions + vitamins
i didn’t realise how much i ate until i cut back and was just fine. no dizziness, no fatigue. Proper food though girlies. yesterday i had pasta mhhh😋 if you do get dizzy, take vitamins. i don’t and i take them to prevent any dizziness or fatigue.
if you MUSSST be dangerous about things, then vitamins help make things endurable, but be safe please!!!
5. PATIENCE
you can get the body you want before summer, just not tomorrow.
< tags so it find the right people , i do not recommend ⭐️ving + workout playlist coming soon i promise loves>

My staple ortho foods list
Vegetables (duh)
Vegetables are really awesome because you can eat a lot of it for basically no calories. Additionally if you get hardy vegetables (cabbage, kale, broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus, etc.) they’re really tough so you have to chew it longer giving the illusion of eating more.
Fruits (duh again)
Same reason as vegetables however they fulfill a sweet craving too. My favs are naval oranges. Refreshing and sweet.
Seafood
I don’t really like meat but I love seafood! It’s often lower calorie than standard meats and have omega-3 to support brain heath and your metabolism. Shellfish also give you a little work to do before you eat.
Rice
I’m an ethnic girlie so I already eat a lot of rice. Additionally, it’s can make any sad 3D meal into a pretty decent one. My general rule is a cup for every cup of vegetables or half cup of meat. Great way to bulk out something that isn’t satisfying.
Beans
I go feral for beans especially garbanzo beans! They’re like meat but without any of the nasty fat or tendons.
Seasonings and hot sauces
Seasonings are literally your best friend if you’re trying to eat low cal. They make insufferable foods taste great for little to no calories!
Tea
I know this is an 3D classic but that’s because it really does work. A decaf cup of green tea helps my digestion and keeps my stomach from hurting (IBS gang wya) make sure you’re making it yourself and not the premade ones because they either taste bitter or have unnecessary additives.
Anyways that’s my list!
