Traditions vary from town to town but from my very small research, some would go from house to house and sweep the entry hall with goose feather to bless the house. Other areas had Lucky with a giant knives. They would usually go around the saint day of saint Lucy (13th of december) or winter solstice.

the problem with watching doctor who as a child is that a small part of your brain can never completely give up the idea that the doctor exists. if i saw a blue police box materialize out of thin air i would not be anywhere near surprised enough.
The point of fiction is actually to put that guy in a situation™️, and he might try to tell you the point is to then get him out of the situation, WRONG, second situation
