What makes you believe that WAYF is mukes song? im just curious...
*sigh*
Wrapped Around Your Finger is a deep, passionate, intense song that clearly has a real meaning behind it and..hear me out...it is a song that was written long long long ago by nobody....and i mean n o b o d y... besides Michael Clifford & Luke Hemmings but hear! me! out! unlike the other songs written by 2/4 of the band, this song does not have any cowriters (maybe John Feldman can be credited on some sites since he is credited on every song the band has written) but no, this is a song that nobody besides Michael and Luke sing in (normally all 4 would at least join for the chorus or background vocals) but nope! its just Michael and Luke singing and performing here. If you witnessed the song performed live, you’d see cashton instantly stepping away and letting muke take our breaths away by such an Oscar worthy performance that could even make Romeo and Juliet jealous.
Michael has mentioned several times that this is one of his favorite songs, has even tweeted about it *war flashbacks about the “still wrapped around your fucking finger” tweet intensifies* so why would a song that was written in private with Luke mean so much to Michael especially since he hasn’t been in a relationship for years when the song was written and released? Michael was also so determined to have this song on the set list out of ALL the other songs that were more “fan favorited” they could’ve added but nooooope, Michael wanted this particular song that he sings with only his Lukey poo. If Michael had someone in mind when writing this song, wouldn’t he just write this alone? Like he did with plenty of songs? Nope, he wrote it with Luke and loves every single bit of this song and pours every ounce of emotion whenever he sings it live with him.
That’s my beautiful theory about Wrapped Around Your Finger (fact: it is also my favorite 5sos song) so unless anyone else has a better and more believable theory, please slide into my DMs 🤪
