It's always been funny when I tell other Russians that my whole childhood I spent some holidays in Antibes. That screams millionaire behaviour when...
My french grand parents settled there once they retired. They had a three rooms flat in Antibes' outskirts.
In the Fifties my grandmother used to work as a nurse in a sanatorium for kids suffering from rickets, on the Cap d'Antibes, where all the oligarchs have their villas nowadays.
I remember being like ten or eleven and going to the Port d'Antibes to see if we could spot Abramovich's yacht on the Billionaires' Pier.
EU sanctions require consensus among all member states, complicating their implementation. However, each individual country, France included, retains the freedom to institute national blacklists. Despite president Emmanuel Macron's recently assertive stance about the possibility of sending ground troops to Ukraine, his government continues to afford many Kremlin-connected members of Russia’s economic elite the privilege of living and doing business in France. The Insider highlights several prominent examples.

“how dare you say we piss on the poor” is perhaps THEE best piece of vernacular to come out of tumblr dot com in the past decade. along with “what were you doing at the devils sacrament” (cheeky. inspired. relevant in every context) and “harold, they're lesbians” (timeless. funny as hell. gay)

Marin Honda (JPN): Faded | 2023 Japanese Nationals
marin on her last nationals:
"when i touched the ice surface, i was very thankful. since the warm-up, i saw many banners and realized how many people supported me. this gave me the strength to make it to the end.
i started skating when i was two years old, and i've made many experiences both in practice and competitions. the public practice was very hard, and i thought about changing the triple combination to a double. i'm very satisfied with my performance."
although marin was injured, she decided to not withdraw and give her last nationals (and likely her last competition) her very best. to the 2016 junior world champion and perpetual champion of hearts, thank you for everything!

we still get immediately shoved out of our immersion in tv shows or films when The Girl find a dead body and immediately shrieks - we just don't find it realistic because we're pretty confident most people would gasp rather than shriek (i.e. sharp inhale rather than sharp exhale) and it also feels unnecessarily (and predictably) misogynistic too, as men encountering corpses almost never do the same on screen
also of course please do tell us if you've actually encountered a corpse unexpectedly, because tumblr is absolutely a place where some people have done this thing and we love a good anecdote
suddenly imagining "burst into song" as a potential response

Question : am I on the verge of crying because I'm far beyond exhaustion and getting eaten away by anxiety because I'm overworked and managing an understaffed team ?
Or is it because my periods just started and my hormones are whack ?
