Monari Wakita announces marriage
Founding Especia member Monari Wakita has announced her marriage to her longtime partner.
Monari has also announced that her contract with VIVID SOUND's management has ended as of the 31st of December 2023. She has plans to continue her music activities in 2024 through an agent contract.
Below is a translation of Monari's announcement:
To all the important people who always support me,
This is my final piece of news for 2023! It's something very personal, but I've gotten married with my longtime partner.
I am truly filled with gratitude for all the support and encouragement from so many people since I started my music career at 17, as I moved from Osaka to Tokyo to follow my dreams, and as I went solo after leaving the group. I will still continue to sing.
It was my 2023 resolution to release as many works as I could in the year. I am moved to tears that I've been able to release everything that I had in the end.
I have one other piece of news. My management contract with VIVID SOUND has expired as of 31 December 2023.
I have plans to work with an agent from here onward.
I am very grateful to all of the staff who worked with me. Since I came to Tokyo, we have overcome so many things together. We've made so many memories laughing together, crying together, being happy together and being angry lol.
My circumstances will be drastically different from next year, but I plan to continue having fun making music. I look forward to your continued support!

Monari to release 7" vinyl in Korea with a cover of Plastic Love
It has been confirmed that Monari Wakita will be releasing a 7" vinyl record of WINGSCAPE in Korea through indie label Beatball Records.
The record will contain a Korean version of the fan-favourite single WINGSCAPE, with newly penned lyrics by Yohei Hasegawa.
A cover of Mariya Takeuchi's PLASTIC LOVE will be included as the record's B-side.
The vinyl will be released in Korea on the 14th of December 2023. There are plans for the vinyl to be released in Japan in 2024.

Monari to perform in Korea and teases Korean version of "Wingscape"
Monari Wakita will be performing at the "This Is The CITY LIFE" event at Channel 1986 in Seoul, Korea on Saturday, 16th of December 2023.
This will continue her annual tradition of performing at the event at the end of the year.
The event organiser, DJ Yohei Hasegawa, has teased the release of a vinyl which may be sold at the event containing a Korean Version of Monari's single "Wingscape".

Monari Wakita collaborates with the oto factory
It has been announced that Monari Wakita will feature as a featured vocalist in the oto factory's upcoming digital single Weekend Mirage.
The song is described to be inspired by 1980s urban contemporary music, and depicts a forbidden love over weekends that fleets like a mirage.
The song will be released as a digital single on Friday, 20th October 2023.
A lyric video is already available on the band's YouTube channel, and contains lyric translations in both Korean and English.

HALLCA to release "PARADISE GATE" on cassette tape
HALLCA announced the release of her 2nd full-length album PARADISE GATE on cassette tape.
All 9 tracks from the original release have been remastered for tape by Makoto Oshiro, and will be included in this version.
The cassette tape will come in a randomly chosen colour of either blue or aqua, and will be bundled with a lenticular card of the cover art designed by cpnnn, and a miniature B9-sized zine titled Códice Paraíso.
The Cassette Tape Edition will initially be available at HALLCA's performance at the Traverse vol.1 event at Shimokitazawa SPREAD, Saturday, 23 September 2023.
It will also be made available via AVE CORNER PRINTING's online store from Sunday, September 2023.
This will be HALLCA's second cassette tape release following the Cassette Tape Edition of VILLA in September 2022.
