Okay…so…before anyone jumps on me, I need to make this clear that this isn’t anything serious.  I couple of months ago, I got my muse semi on Mirror Image, as it tends to go from time to time (maybe I heard a song that I associate with it?), and I was just musing around with it.  I mean, the concept behind it is pretty good, and I was entertaining the idea of how they got to Melohida in the first place.  The idea of them popping into different bodies came up, and I was laughing at the idea of Sethos being a nearly fifty year old person because @anijeltaventryery is…um, you know, is a similar situation.

And then I was like wait…OMG, that is brilliant!

And then went on a couple of rampage about it, and then abandoned the project until yesterday, when it crossed my mind again.

Now the whole reason I’m posting this is just because I’m sure the others involved in the story would be curious about the idea, and because, well, I really like the ideas that went with it (the ones that I remember).  But the thing to note is that these are not the original characters that were created, but rather literally my own versions.  (I was told I couldn’t use the original names, which I understand completely, but it’s annoying, because after nearly twenty years, I, of course, associate the names with the characters.)

Okay, so left to right, we have Shizuka, Sekani, Aurelia, Friga, Geoffrey, and Astrid.

With Sekani, Aurelia, and Friga, I attempted to come up with similar names as the original versions, but probably failed at that, lol.

In any case, the general idea is that these characters are all in their thirties, with the exception of Shizuka, who’s twenty-nine.  They all happen to have reasons to be around an archeological dig – Shizuka is an actual archeologist, Sekani is her husband who surprised her with a visit, Aurelia I’m not sure around but I’m thinking she is some sort of manager there, Friga was there photographing the finds, and Geoffrey was there researching a novel he was writing.

They were all in one specific spot one day when they were isekaied off to Melohdia with absolutely no recollection of their past and how they got there.  They wind up in their Electus Uni’s bodies, all of them teens, because they all went through with a suicide pact at the same time. 

They do eventually figure out who they were, but it’s a slow process.  The thing of it is, though, that none of them have family to go back to – Shizuka’s pretty much disowned her for marrying Sekani, Sekani left home at eighteen and hasn’t looked back, Aurelia was raised by her grandmother who passed away about ten years ago, Friga recently lost her father, who raised her alone, and Geoffrey is an orphan who was passed around from foster home to foster home growing up. Sure, they have some friends and colleagues, but nothing really connecting them to Earth.

Shizuka and Sekani do figure out who each other are, which kickstarts the process of remembering everything, but until then, they are attracted to each other, but never act on it.  They remember they’re married (they were going through a bit of a rough patch prior to being isekaied, mostly because Shizuka’s been busy with work and Sekani bounces between jobs – they still love each other and were making it work, but they were drifting a slight bit) and that they love their spouse, but nothing beyond that.  It supposed to be one of those things were you’re sort of rooting for Shizuka and Sekani to get together, but also not, since Shizuka’s married and trying to get back to her husband, and then whom!, turns out Sekani was her husband the whole time!  And that, OMG, the others were people Shizuka already knew as well!

But where dose Astrid fit into all of this?  Well, Astrid was isekaied about two years before the others, and Astrid is just an alias.  In reality, she’s Leilani from the island kingdom, and she was tricked into posing as the Baldurnan (for the lack of a kingdom name) Uni.  She grew up with toxic parents, and thus, is very eager to make people like her, which is why she gets sucked into the scheme.  Of course, there already is a Baldurnan Uni, so this created a wee bit of a problem.  But Lelani is a fully actualized Uni, and the people of Melohida have no idea how any of this works, so they assume that Friga is a fake.

Which then causes all sorts of problems with the other Uni, since now people are beginning to doubt them, which leads to their suicide pact.  The dumb thing is Astrid looks nothing like a Baldernan, which is a Scandinavian based kingdom, and yet no one picked up on that.  But that’s mostly because the island she comes from is largely undiscovered at this point.

The plot is basically the same – they’re forced to fight Atalo until it comes to light that the real villain is his father and all that nonsense.  They also find that they can use magical powers – Shizuka has a weird fighting ability that she’s able to use any weapon she touches, Sekani is the healer, Aurelia ha holy powers, Friga is stupidly strong and also an axe welder, and Geoffrey is a magee.  I’m not sure what Astrid’s deal is, but I guess I can make her deadly accurate with projectiles?  That works.

As for the designs themselves, I basically tried to distance them from the designs of the original characters with the exceptions of my characters.  So Sekani has wavy hair, Aurelia’s bun is on the top of her head and not the nape of her neck, and Friga as straight hair, lol.  Woo, such differences.  Friga originally had a skirt as well, but then I had the idea of what is she was the sort of girl who prefers pants?  Because they all do end up modifying their outfits slightly. (Capris and undershirt for Shizuka, pants and shirt for Seknai, undershirt for Aurelia, and undershirt for Geoffrey.)  It’s just that Friga modifies her’s the most.   

And the reason why they have colored hair is because of the fact that they’re in different bodies, and that’s the standard for the people.  Like, I sort of wanted to also do the Guide designs, but figured I’d toss this out just because I had it.  But Ariadne, when she brought them over, did shift their eye colors to their original colors for whatever reason.  (She also sends them with important jewelry/tattoo, with the expectation of the wedding bands, which appear after they figure out who each other are.)

Honestly, I’m pleased with how they all turned out.  I mean, I’ll most likely never do anything with this, because it feels wrong to use other characters, but at least the designs turned out pretty!               

So…I mentioned to my friends that I had a story that was eating my brain a few weeks back, but then never showed them anything because, well, I wasn’t entirely too sure if they would actually be interested in seeing the designs, and then it stopped eating my brain, and I just sat on the designs for a minute.  But today I decided, screw it – I do really like the designs, and the story is interesting, and shockingly, I do have a name for the story – The Hero’s Party.

Which, I suppose given the title, you can probably guess who these characters are, in a sense, lol.

 Eileen – the voice character, Eileen is a stupidly low level daughter of an inn keeper.  Thanks to her ridiculously low level, she’s pretty much ignored/abused by her family, who view her as absolutely worthless.  Despite this, she’s a generally friendly and helpful girl who is observant and prefers to stay in the shadows.  She ends up being forced to go on a quest for her sister, who’s either sick or cursed, when she happens upon the Hero’s Party.  She initially accidentally approaches them because she’s being harassed, but then accidentally gets trapped in a dungeon with them a bit later.  As a result, despite her level, the Hero requests that she join them, and she does, because she knows she’d have a better chance of getting that item while traveling with the Party.  She mostly just helps out with mundane things – cooking, laundry, mending clothes, that sort of thing, since she’s not useful otherwise.  She ends up falling for the Hero (not surprisingly), but feels guilty about it because she feels like she’s just using them, as well as the fact that she doesn’t really fit in.

Kallum – the Hero, who happens to have a ridiculously high level, on top of having holy powers.  He is, for a lack of a better term, an absolute Boy Scout, believing in honor and justice above everything else.  He and his party are traveling around clearing dungeons before they become a problem.  Unknown to Eileen, he fell in love with her at first sight upon seeing her at the inn they were staying at, and uses dungeon experience as an excuse to get her to travel with them.  He becomes highly protective of her, not really caring that she has no magic level.  He enjoys watching her wonder over her new experiences, which had become mundane for him.    He is also using Eileen a bit, since having her around tends to make potential suitors back off.

Artemisia – a foreigner, she came to the kingdom for the challenge, since her kingdom is full of warrior-types who have explored a lot of the dungeons already.  She ends us joining the Party mostly just for the hell of it, since it seemed more interesting to travel in a group, and she was surprised at how out matched she was in this kingdom, despite having a somewhat high level.  Prior to Eileen joining, she was the weakest member, but it was by an insignificant amount.  She’s actually he one who ‘rescues’ Eileen in their first encounter, because she hates seeing woman harassed.  She pretty much befriends Eileen almost immediately, and likes to joke about making Eileen fall in love with her, despite knowing the mutual attraction between Eileen and Kallum.

Eli – an elf mage, he’s actually the youngest member of the Party, as well as the newest until Eileen showed up.  His magic mostly involved elemental magic, and he joined the Party because he felt like he wasn’t be challenged enough at the Tower he was training at.  He’s the only one who doesn’t trust Eileen at first, partially due to his crush on Kallum, but also because they know nothing about her.  He’s worried she’s there to take advantage of the Party in a way more nefarious way than she actually us, although he does eventually warm up to her and feeling just as protective of her as everyone else, viewing her as a member of the family without really realizing it.  He complains a lot, but no one really takes offense of it.

Gwendolyn – a witch, specializing in healing magic.  She mostly stays in the shadows, preferring not to draw attention to herself, thanks partially to the fact the witches are still somewhat mistrusted in the kingdom.  She wants to use her powers to help people, though, which is why she’s a part of the Party.  She was the third to join after Kallum simply asked her to after their initially encounter, and she agreed because no one wanted her before.  She, like Artemisia, is quick to accept and befriend Eileen when she joins, and is fairly instrumental in her survival.  Eileen basically gives her purpose as a healer, since her low level means that she’s injured far more often.  For the most part, she seems stoic, and she loves ribbing Eli for his magic use, since she’s the more powerful magic user.

Xander – Kallum’s best friend and a partial beastman.  The two of the grew up in the same village, where Xander was ostracized for having beastman blood.  While his father was a result of rape, his mother did sincerely fall in love with his father and the two of the settled a little ways outside of the village.  The other kids were told Xander was dangerous, but Kallum recognized that Xander just needed an outlet to hit things, since Xander isn’t really violent by nature.  He took him a quest of sorts when they were about seven, which turned into an experience neither of them expected, and they ended up bonding because of it.  Xander is incredibly loyal to Kallum as a result, and instantly accepts Eileen once he realizes that Kallum in is love with her, no questions asked.

The next set of designs aren’t of anyone important, per say, but I wanted to design them.

Charlotte – a princess of the kingdom, she’s obsessed with the idea of marrying Kallum, and bugs her father to try to force him to accept, although he refuses every time.  She dislikes Eileen after their initial meeting, but Eileen is the one who points out that Charlotte loves the idea of Kallum, and not Kallum himself.  Rather than being upset at her, Charlotte realizes that she’s correct, and backs off immediately while also developing a close friendship with Eileen as a result, accidentally allowing her to have the backing of the royal family.

Alicia – Eileen’s younger sister, she was born with a higher than average level, and thus was doting and spoiled despite the fact that it’s still technically a low level.  It was just the highest in the village, so everyone thinks that she’s someone special.  She pretty much makes Eileen’s life a living hell, and forces Eileen on the quest to cure her simply because she didn’t want to leave, despite the fact that she’s better equipped to go off adventuring.  She’s pretty much a royal bitch, demanding literally everything that Eileen has for herself.  She becomes obsessed with Kallum after seeing him at their inn in the latter half of the story, and makes it her mission to get her parents to force him to marry her (again, thinking that she’s something special because of her level).

The weird thing about these two is that I had initially planned on Charlotte’s design being for Alicia, with the idea that she wears clothes above her class because she’s spoiled and all, but I liked the design too much, lol.  And it seemed perfect for the princess character I had thought up to befriend Eileen at some point.  So…there you go.

I did come up with names for each of the characters pretty much instantly, except for Xander, who took a couple of tries to figure out his name.  He was supposed to be more brutish, but I can’t really draw that, but what I came up with works really well.  All the designs work really well for each of the characters.

I don’t really have a plot beyond the whole Eileen on a quest and meets us with the Party and joins them, and the trouble they get into because Kallum simply cannot say no to someone claiming to need help, but eh.  I question if this would be a serious story for me or not, but it’s fun to think of scenes from time to time.  And look at pretty designs.  :D

Serene Star turned 9 today!

This is...a lot, but the only reason why I'm putting this on Tumblr is so I can save some space on my brother's server. I'm getting the impression that no one actually cares for my random little design sheets. :P

These are basically the families that Kai and her group interact with the most. So we have the Vances (Kai's family), the Suredans (Dylan's family), the Argalls (Aerona's family), the Tallises (Mickel's family), and the Acadias (Gabby's family).

Vances - I really really like how Soléne turned out. Like, I always have her in dresses and the like, but I didn't really 'see' her wearing them when I thought about it. She's around my age, so I thought it would be neat if she wore something that someone my age would wear, but with an Aeolian twist, and just...wow. Jonathon looks as geeky as ever, and still quite the looker (Kai and Dev hit the lottery int he genetics department, lol). Ilya, their grandmother, looks great as well, and I really really like the dress I put her in! Somehow looks regal. The other character is Ioné, the second princess of Aeolus, and technically a part of Kai's family, as their grandparents were siblings. I included her because I had no where else to put her, and she's somewhat important. I like how she ended up!

Suredans - Again, they all turned out nice, very green and blue. I didn't really mess with their designs too much, other than expand then out since these are full bodied. The only one I messed with was Lydie's (purple haired girl), and I like what I came up with! Like, its different from the others, which is what I was aiming for, since she's technically from a different kingdom? She's from below the surface, whereas the others are from above.

Argalls - Again, this was just me expanding out their outfits a little while tweeking a couple of things, like Uwain's outfit. He looks less cyberpunk than the others, but that was sort of the point, since he's the king and all. Meinwen looks badass, lol.

Tallises - I sort of forgot that I needed to do a set for these guys. I originally just did Ellyn before realizing that I needed everyone. I sort of went with a medieval look to them, since I 'see' Thanatos as being fashioned that way, despite being the oldest civilization in the galaxy. I like how Ellyn turned out - much like Soléne, I figured she sent enough time on Earth that she would figure out a way to make her Thanatian outfit sort of Earth-like? I also like how I gave them all colors rather than keeping them all black, white, and grey. >.< Severic had orange hair in the previous version, but eh, I 'see' him with dark hair, so there ya go. I didn't include Mickels' in-laws, because then it'd be too big. :P

Acadias - this one I completely forgot about until this morning. I had done Gabby's aunt and cousin before scrapping it because it was just them, but then remembered how they meet her actual parents in this book (spoiler? Not really). Hannah turned out super cute in her overalls! I did have to figure out Hermerians fashion, since originally, when Gabby was partially Asian, I was using Asian fashion. But then I realized that I see Hemera as, like, modern? But also I had to tweek it a little to make it look alien. So Jacen, her father, is wearing a suit, but with knee high boots. And then Helena, her mother, is wearing a nice dress, with with a belted corset. Honestly, they turned out really great. :D

Figured it was about time I get off my ass and post these, lol.

This one seems sort of out of left field, mostly because it involves characters @callistochan87 and I hadn't really been focusing on, but the thing is is that neither of us need any help with our muses. Our ideas flow just fine. Who does need help is @anijeltaventry, and considering her character's story is sci-fi, it seemed only natural to pair her up with Christine and Kai.

(I swear to god, these two have so many sisters at this point, since it's so easy to just pair them with any and all sci-fi stories @anijeltaventry comes up with, lol.)

Of course, the added bonus to all this is the fact that, since bringing it up, my muse has in fact shifted to Earthia, so...two out of the three muses are currently on these stories, whoops.

Now, normally, I'd be trying to figure out a way that these characters would be similar to each other. Chris and Kai's stories are similar - half humans who leave the Earth with their friends and discover a new planet and have a space adventure and all that. Chris' story is a bit more messed up, and Kai's is fairly typical, but they have similarities. Sam's, on the other hand, is a completely different animal, but eh. I guess is still works.

The important thing is that they're all purple girls in the end. ;P

And they do have a bit of a connection, in that, they all have feminine names with masculine nicknames (Samantha - Sam, Christine - Chris, Kailyn - Kai). It's not much, but it's there.

I sort of struggled to get Sam to look right in her uniform next to two people in civilian clothes, but in the end, she worked out. Chris doesn't really have a set outfit, because @callistochan87 is boring and going for ~*~realism~*~ ew but this happens me to my favorite outfit of hers, so...it's what I is gonna draw her in. And then Kai over there is very purple. I did attempt to give her a grey undershirt to match the others, but, eh, I liked the extra pop of color. >.<

Overall, I'm relatively pleased with how this ended up coming out! I had my doubts for a while, but adding color definitely helped matters. :D

Not me waiting until the literal last minute to finish a birthday picture again like always.

Probably should be of no surprise that you're birthday picture was going to be of Sam Shepard. Gotta keep that muse going, after all! the main reason I was finishing this up today and not, you know, being prepared and all that, was because my first picture of her was...sub par, and then I decided to redo it, and Jesus, did she turn out! Looks amazing in that outfit, and I was right that she looks good with her hair in her normal causal civilian style, lol.

Now, this was supposed to just be a Sam picture. I mean, she hadn't given us anything for Alek's casual wear. But...I though she needed something to balance her out. And knowing @anijeltaventry, I knew she'd prefer a couply picture. And I also knew that she probably wouldn't care, because, ya know, men's fashion isn't as fun to do as women's fashion. So I looked up some cybepunk outfits, found this jacket, and knew I had a winner. :D

Hell, this pose even inspired me to do a somewhat original background for them! Not exactly what I had original envisioned for it, but eh, close enough and probably better, anyway.

I'm not sure if she'd have scarring/gloves on when wearing this, but eh. I sort of like the idea that maybe most of her scarring is, like, upper body related? Whatever. She's pretty, and that's all that matters.

Me: I know, I'll do @anijeltaventry's characters, because God knows they need some shining up. But only the two mains, because those are the only ones we care about.

Me: *draws up some very pretty design pictures, stares at them all day giddy at their prettiness*

Me: *precedes to get sad over the fact that there'll never be more to their story, having gotten invested in their story since it was the longest @anijeltaventry had written*

That's...pretty accurate with how I decided to do this, lol. Like, I have shiny, updated design pictures. Aspera Virtus has shiny new design pictures. Casus Belli has...crappy ten year old design pictures that made me cringe. Sure, she'll never do anything with these, never have a story, but it's the principle of the thing, damn it.

I kept, for the most part, her original designs for them. I have Rydan some nice fancy boots for his every day wear just because I thought it would look nice, and then...well, I'm not entirely sure if I have his hair right? In her design picture, it's all curly and poofy, but when i drew him, I just gave him wavy hair? IDK, I just sort of did this and it doesn't look half bad. ^^;

(Honestly, him smiling is throwing me off, but eh. Couldn't have a love interest design with him sulking, after all.)

I had forgotten how much black he was actually wearing in his normal wear - I thought it was mainly black with some grey, but nope. All black. But it's fine, he looks good. And the doublet in his fancy picture is supposed to be 'black with silver design embroidered', but IMO, just having the hatching on it somehow makes it look more fancy? I like how it turned out, whatever.

I also discovered I had been coloring Anijel's princess dress wrong for ten years, OMG. I had it darker with lighter inserts to the skirt when it was this way the entire time *dead*. At least it's fixed now!

These looks so good, and I'm glad I can at least say they exist in the world now. :D

Not sure entirely where I got the idea to do something like this, but it was rather fun. I sort of wanted to show off that Buttercup's current dress is sort of an homage to her original design.

The current dress itself has a bit of a history. @callistochan87 made a comment once that her original dress looked like a Viking dress, and that sort of stuck with me. I'm not sure what I had intended when I designed it originally - that was twenty two years ago, after all. So when I decided I wanted to rewrite the story a couple of years ago, I decided to make her kingdom, now called Altaire, Viking based, and designed something similar, but not quite.

But then, @callistochan87 reblogged a post with a bunch of old Viking outfits, and holy hell, I fell in love with one of them. So...Buttercup had a new dress! One that was still an homage to her first design, but way more accurate. :D

I thought it would sort of fun to mimic the old design sheet, but modernized. Like, back then, I used to do gag pictures all the time, which is why she has that freaked out look in the corner there. Can't do that now, so just stuck her in her 'princess' dress instead, and it works very well! I also cheated and inked the picture on the computer then printed it out to color. (I planned on doing pencils like the original, but figured I don't really do that anymore? So coloring in markers would be more accurate to show growth).

(And yes, I totally dug out the original to scan in, lol.)

Its neat to see what changed about her and what hasn't. She was originally a swordswoman, but after seeing Brave, I changed it up to archery, which does make more sense for the character since she's not much of a fighter type person? So shooting someone from a distance rather than getting all in their faces works. (Plus, I switched her discipline with Clover, and thus, I don't have a cliche archer elf anymore.)

I did end up changing her last name, because I decided the Alterians followed the 'correct' worship method and focuses on the Diablous Dei, so it wouldn't make any sense for her family to be 'guardians' of the Angelia Dei. Originally, it was Drekigard, but every time I looked at it, I thought 'Drakengard', which is a game the hubby talks about occasionally. So I decided on Drekingard instead. (Dreki means dragon and gard apparently means farm, so her family are dragon farmers? lol)

So yeah, just a fun little thing that I may or may not do with the others, lol.

Don't let the dates fool you - it's only been four and a half years, not five. :P

(Granted, I though we did this later than we actually did, so nearly five years is surprising, yeesh.)

So anyway, here's the comparison between the Duja and Tara pieces. (You can find the actual pictures here and here.) Duja and Tara are deities in each of our stories whom we decided were actually siblings at some point as a way to connect our stories together. Tara was originally from the AV world and traveled to the AD world just for the hell of it, met her would-be husband, and decided to settle there. But she still comes and visits her home from time to time in order to spend time with her brother.

And mess with him constantly, apparently. :P

I don't think I really improved on my coloring in the past five years, but @callistochan87 definitely improved on her art! Wow! I also didn't realize until I was looking at these two that I had darkened Tara's skin at some point (and @callistochan87 modeled Duja's skin off Tara's, so his gets darker and browner as well), but I think it works well! I think this look more appropriately Middle Eastern now, idk.

Overall, everything looks better in the newer one, and I'm glad she suggested that we do this. :D

AND HERE IS IS, FINISHED. Coral, sadly, sort of blends into the background, since she's so pale with pale clothes, BUT it didn't turn out as bad as I thought it might before shading. :D

I mean, she did a computer colored piece for me for m birthday, so I figured it was okay for me to do one for her for Christmas.

The problem was that, well, I basically sketched it out and inked it before she put up the official design sheet of the character, so now it's not really accurate. I took the parts I liked from each of her designs (the one from when she first turns human and then a year later), and sort of made ti a transitionary thing? IDK.

I didn't want to make this a straight redraw. I had already drawn Aoide/Coral in her fancy dress, so that was out. So I figured I'd make it, you know, less dumb? Yes, she's still out in the snow with bare arms, but eh - I might not have drawn her with the correct body type, but she does have extra protection going for her. :P

I know she's probably experienced snow before - I kinda get the impress that where she was from originally was a lot colder than the main kingdom. But this is the first time she's experiencing snow as a human. (But at the same time, if she's anything like the Coral of the past, it wouldn't matter - she'd be excited to see snow every time it happens. :P)

I do plan to further the present by streaming it's completion. Just need to figure out when I can, lol.

As usual, I had absolutely no idea what to draw @anijeltaventry for Christmas, since she has no active stories at the moment. That is, she's not doing anything that's causing her muse to react. I mean, she does have plenty of OCs to choose from, but I like choosing something from the moment, you know?

But then it occurred to me that there was one picture that I had been putting off for the last fourteen years, and that was drawing Jin and Jacey from their main couply song, Today Was a Fairytale. So...it was time to rectify that!

So yes, I did in fact draw her a picture with my own character in it, but eh. It was as good an excuse to draw this as any. Its simple, but effective, and I hope you like it as much as I do!

Just a random little comparison I wanted to do, because the story is 10 years old now, and so are the designs. (Although these are apparently closer to 11 years old now). I only really changed two of the characters (Robert going to Raito and becoming Asian, and Selena becoming black), so it is sort of interesting to see how my art and designing has changed in the last 10 years, and I wanted to show that off. ^^;

@callistochan87 asked me yesterday if Tara's design had changed at all since we did a collab piece a few years ago, and, of course, I hadn't touched the other gods' designs thanks to the fact that they appear in later books. But now I had an incentive, and seeing my old designs just makes me want to, you know, correct the issue. >.<

But then I didn't want to do just the parents. I wanted to do the children as well. I already had redone Aria's Pater Dei outfit, so then I was like, why not do something for Ignatius? And then also gave myself the idea that the younger gods adapt a more 'human' appearance in later books.

With Ignatius, I didn't change too much about him (because...male clothes), but I amused myself with the idea that he adapts the sash because it's a staple for Raito, and the two of them are connected thanks to Raito summoning him, lol. I like the sash on him, and he still has his slitted eyes because...why not?

With Aria, I changed things up and gave her something causal yet cute. I also like the idea that her hair ends up changing completely in her healed form, although in AD it just changes color.

For Aquarius, while he is out of touch like his wife, he's also on the planet, so when he comes to the surface, he does adapt clothes that fit with the current trends. I didn't do his natural form because I didn't feel like it, but basically he has a longer beard and his hair is loose. I do like this look for him, since he's supposed to look a little gruff.

Tara there has two designs because I do really like the idea that she returns after, like, three hundred years and has absolutely no clue what the eff is going on, lol. But also, she probably isn't aware of how much time it's been, and just shows up in ancient clothes thinking it's still trendy. But then, like, later in her book, or maybe int he next book? she starts wearing the proper style. But keeps her hairstyle, cuz why not?

You can't really see it, but she has a flower in her hair, and she generally adorns herself with flowers. Sometimes a lot, sometimes just the one, but it's always blue, because that's obviously Aquarius' favorite color. :P

I know it's ridiculous to come up with outfits for the second book when I haven't rewrote the first book yet, but eh. The problem I have is that the second book designs are so nice, ugh! :P

This is totally not me literally waiting until the last second to do anything like I do every year. To be fair, her birthday is right after NaNo, so it takes me a moment to get any sort of motivation to do just about anything creative in time for her birthday, lol. This year, I actually knew what I wanted to do for her, it was just as matter of that - striking up the motivation to do something about it.

So...since she never posted any design pictures for this story - mostly just concept pictures of the one character I cannot stand - I figured I'd go off of the <a href="https://callistochan87.tumblr.com/post/729571027565297664/portrait-of-prince-amir-of-roshad-and-grand">one picture</a> she did do of Coral (real name Ayde, I believe?) before the start of November. Now, I understand that this is, like, post story Coral, but eh, it was the closest thing I could get, so I ran with it.

I sort of had to fudge the bottom half, but I like it! Obviously, I didn't get as detailed as @callistochan87 did, since she's way more detailed oriented than I am. But I like what I ended up with. It's nice and elegant and most importantly, blue. I was shocked that the pose I had in mind I was actually able to pull off very well, since that typically doesn't happen with pictures like these.

(Also, I have a beef with this character now, seeing as @callistochan87 stole Dylan's two-toned eye thing, right down to the color and position!)

As usual, it's a rather simple picture, but I like it, in any case. I hope you do as well, @callistochan871 Have a great birthday!

Done with the same idea as this set, the idea here is to get a couple more pictures out, and the easiest way to do that is always through traditional means. Plus...it's fun. :D

Kinda figured I got four of the six 'main' characters done, so what was doing two more? Then I discovered I had also done a marker piece for Frostbite two years ago, and since I changed her design, well, I sort of had to redo her as well. I mean, look at her? How could I not?

So, when looking at the website and looking at the galleries, I found an old marker piece I had done of Swift Star, and seeing it was done about two years ago, I thought I'd try redrawing it, since my style has changed a bit since then. There was also the fact that I had to buy a new dark grey marker because I use dark grey for black and, well, I used up my old one, and I needed to, you know, test it. :P

Swift Star turned out well. The dark grey marker is a little stiffer than I'm used to, but it's fine. It does it's job. I sort of forgot it was a grey and ended up darkening it on Swift Star's pants before remembering, lol. But she looks fine! I like her. I even like the little light I gave her.

BUT THEN I got to thinking, since Swift Star turned out so nice, why not do others? So I did Matrix next, and he turned out great, so the next logical step is going ahead and doing the other two main characters, Dead Volt and Cosmic Moon.

The current behind Matrix is actually how I see the electrical currents that he sees - I have no idea why I see them as blue, but there you go. Dead Volt is holding a bubble of his power canceling power, although it's nothing actually visible. And lol, I accidentally inked the sword Cosmic Moon is holding rather than keep it lined with pencil to give it an intangible feeling like the others, but oh well. Her's is a bit more solid than the others, after all.

Over all, these were fun to do. I always forget how fun marker colored pieces are until I do a bunch of them, lol.
