I’ve been meaning to draw this for a while, but I finally finished it!!

I think my favourite thing about this saga is knowing that Odysseus' mother in The Underworld is performed by Jorge's Actual Mother. Like her voice is beautiful, and her accent really makes the melody so much sweeter

It really does!!! She is amazing, and it really adds so many layers of emotions and depth to it all!!

I'm still not over Odysseus' little "Polites..." when Polites showed up, eSPECIALLY BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT HE TENDS TO HIT THE HIGHER NOTES WHEN HE'S EMOTIONAL. HIM SEEING HIS BEST FRIEND AGAIN MADE HIM WANT TO CRY (me too bro)

ALSO the fact that Jorge's IRL mom voiced Anticlea gave that part so much more depth and emotion to it, I love how much of a genius Jorge is

I cried when I heard the full version of “The Underworld” (yes, the “Open Arms” bit and the “waiting” bit) but that could partially because I was still waking up.

It was a very emotional song!!!!! (I was very close to crying too!!)

The fact that both Penelope and Anticlea were waiting for Odysseus, they sang with longing, waiting, no matter how long it would take before he came back home. Only one will ever see him return back home, and even then he is a changed man, he’s no longer the same-

Can we talk about how amazing Jorge’s mom can sing? Cause not only was it a heartbreaking moment, but her voice is so pretty too?!

I’ve been relisrening to Epic like all day today with the Underworld Saga release(AMAZING) and idk if I’m slow on the uptake or whatever but I wonder if what Eurylochus wanted to confess is that he told the crew to open the bag of winds? The prophet gave me vibes he’s the one who’s going to betray Odysseus

You are almost right! Although we will never really know what Eurylochus was going to say, I don’t think it was a matter of the bag of winds. I think it was more so going to be a comment on Odysseus’ leadership style? I think this because later in song 24, which is called Mutiny, Eurylochus will lead a mutiny against Odysseus, because he doesn’t agree with how Odysseus is handling the battle of philosophy’s that he is going through. We also can pretty much assume that is what Tiresias is referring to also!!

Have you made animatic?

I have not! I really want to though! I have drafts and plans for songs like Ruthlessness, Scylla, and Wouldn’t You Like, but the problem is I don’t get have a good program to create them on! If anyone has any good recommendations I would love to hear it though!!

I have thoughts. So many thoughts. First when Anticlea (Ody’s mom showed up) that was so cool and emotional and I literally felt my heart break a little when I heard Ody go “I took too long.” I think I also heard a viola in Monster 👀👀
