Using the bathroom in general is a human right and should be enshrined as such and I'm not joking. Too many groups of people are denied bathroom breaks or the use of bathrooms entirely--disabled people, blue-collar workers, children, homeless people, prisoners, students, the elderly. I'm surely missing other groups. Not using the bathroom when needed can cause serious, long-term damage, not to mention death. Free, clean, accessible bathrooms should be available everywhere. It's fucking cruel to deny someone the use of the bathroom, regardless of the reasoning. I'd rather every student in the world goof off and every homeless person make a mess and every worker "steal company time" than let one person suffer because they're denied the right to fucking pee in peace.
Keep seeing pronoun positivity posts is about he/they and she/theys. That's cool and all but this one's for the she/hes. If you're a she/he I love you and you can take as much mint as you want from our garden
It's incredible how people have been protesting pants and skirts not having pockets but not a single peep is heard over the fact that skirts no longer have underskirts by default. Underskirts (or lining) was a thing when I was a child, no skirt would be made without lining, you didn't have to think and check if your whole ass is visible in a skirt because lining was a thing!!!! Now most skirts don't and it's simply because it's cheaper, fuck the fact that a customer doesn't want their panties shown in broad daylight, it saves a couple of cents on material.
Before finding out about queer-platonic relationships I had this immense fear of being abandoned by all my friends once they all found partners (This was enforced by some of my friends at the time getting into relationships and going completely radio silent for months or just not having time for me anymore). I thought that being ace/aro meant I would never find someone I could love in my own way because they would want what I couldn't give or I wouldn't be able to fulfill my role in the relationship. Finding out that a relationship can be whatever my future partner and I agree on or are comfortable with is encouraging. I don't have to be what society decides is normal or conform to their standards. The label of QPR makes it all the more easy to find others who feel the same.
Thinking about characters changing their names.. characters changing their names to run from the past or to reclaim their selfhood or to deny something. Characters who don't remember their names. Characters who can't forget. Etc. And yes of course because they're transgender
What annoys me about third parties is how they simply give no fucks about local politics.
They’re not running candidates for city and state elections. No small town mayors. No county commissioners. No city councils. Not even a dog catcher. Just people with zero experience at any level of public service who are only interested in being governor or higher.
We’re never going to have a legitimate option outside the big two if the other parties don’t start actually attempting to govern something, literally fucking ANYTHING, anywhere. To build those networks of people major parties already have nationwide. Instead of crawling from the woodwork every four years to try for the hardest political job in the country.
Like. They do realize part of why the other two are so successful is that they have nationwide networks of people at everything from local school boards on up? And that’s kind of necessary to be anything resembling competitive? And that’s where your national candidates will learn to govern and build a track record to run on? Don’t they?
If my friend's ocs have 100 fans I'm one of them if my friend's ocs have 10 fans I'm one of them if my friend's oc have 1 fan that's me if my friend's ocs have no fans that means I'm no longer in this world
