Come explore your creative side through free-form musical improvisation in atmospheric surroundings (all levels of ability welcome).
Our theme for this season is metamorphosis, we will channel the power of the elements to create a soil bed for our improvisations.
Space 42 is about strengthening the bonds of community by cultivating the conditions for improvised creativity to flourish through the lens of musical co-creation.
---
The jam will start with some psychic freestyle gland activation; a light ritual designed to help loosen up the larynx, centrifuge the torso and calcify connections to the circle.
Your hosts Vagabond and Charlton Banks will be on hand to help you explore your innate musicality by catalysing the creative collaborations which arise from playful curiosity.
Many instruments will be available for your use, but please also bring your own if you can! (we don't discriminate, anything that makes a sight or sound is most welcome)
Don't worry if you don't identify as a "musician" - there will be no pressure to participate any more than you feel comfortable. Come and join the jam and maybe what you see, hear and feel will inspire you!
---
Space 42 asks you to contribute a small donation - 10 Euro - which goes directly to the venue. If you absolutely can't manage this then just pay what you can afford. We kindly remind you to bring cash to the event.
There will be a bar selling reasonably priced drinks at the event - please support our host DNA Art Club!

Tot Onyx is the solo project of Tommi Tokyo from Japanese experimental live act group A that embraces noise, negation, rebellion and destruction.
NURSE3D twists and contorts extreme music genres blending futuristic cybergoth sound design with dark psychological horror to create empowering rituals.
Æthereal Arthropod creates apocalyptic works to soundtrack the end of civilization, composed from demonic glitches and nightmarish drones that take us to hell itself.
Contaminated Lifeforms is a duo formed by Japanese noise artist ‘ememe’ together with flute player and multi-instrumentalist ‘Zustand D’ that combines hauntingly melodies and ghostly soundscapes.
RECTUM exists as a platform to showcase artists exploring darker styles of experimental music.
