Soooo... I'M CURRENTLY WATCHING THE LAST FEW EPISODES OF TVD
and the show got sooo dumb!
One of the only two reasons why I'm powering through it is bc I've literally wasted hundreds of hours on this show so I might as well watch the last couple of episodes.
Some specific points that bug me:
Literally Damon can't be held accountable for anything and Stefan and Caroline were cuter as friends. Enzo is unnecessary and Bonnie is treated worse than a dog. To top it all off, Julie destroyed every couple that I used to ship.
I already know how it's going to end and seen all the gifs and stuff but the second reason why I'm forcing myself to actually finish the show is bc I was literally 11 when the first season came out and I was obsessed with it during my tween years. Too bad it all went to shit after the third season. I curse myself for being so loyal! 😩

The society
So, I don’t know if I’m getting too old for this kind of a show but I do know that this show is actually taking itself waay too seriously considering all the silliness that goes on.
Secondly, this show is a poor man’s version of the 100. If you follow the 100 then I’m sure most of us acknowledge that the show isn’t perfect and that’s okay, we still love it but this show is more or less the same except worse.
The characters aren’t as interesting or likeable, the plot doesn’t hook you in the same way and the problems are far sillier and there are fewer stakes at play. Yet, all the scenes are filled with dramatic music, serious dialogue and intense acting.
Allie is basically Clarke, Will is basically Wes/Finn and they are trying to make Harry into Bellamy (except it’s not working but I can see them trying to do the same thing with Allie/Harry as the 100 did with Clarke/Bellamy).
Other than that, It’s really stupid to make Allie the new leader just bc her sister was the perfect leader before she died. That’s like saying I’m going to be good at football just bc my brother is good at it? Different people have different skills regardless if they are related or not.
The things that really bothered me, however, are that one, they talk about psychopaths as if they are just natural monsters for having a DISORDER. I get that this dude was actually a danger and that psychopaths are known to be dangerous but you’re not a monster for literally just having a disorder (which they made it seem like). And the second thing is that they made the whole stripping Lexie out of her clothes in front of two dudes twice her size a “not a big deal”. Okay, yes she had her period and wanted to change her clothes and yes, they technically weren’t looking but that shit is still humiliating. They stood there facing her as she was changing her clothes bc she had her period, what was she going to do, stay in her period covered clothes? And the fact that Allie completely dismissed Lexie when she was trying to tell her that the situation made her uncomfortable is actually disgusting. Why? Bc she THOUGHT Lexie was the one that poisoned her and the other five people. She humiliated her again just bc she THOUGHT wrong. And then at the end of episode 9, we are supposed to think that Lexie is just being annoying or an inconvenience just bc she brought up the whole thing in court. The way I see it, she had every right to bring up her concerns about electing Allie as the mayor bc honestly, what Allie did was fucked up.
Anyway, I still have one more episode to go but I wanted to get everything out before I forgot about it. The show still has some good parts, mainly Sam and Grizz and so far I do like Luke as well. Admittedly, I’ll probably still watch season 2 just cause I can’t stop watching for some odd reason even though some of it is so bad!

Fuck anxiety
The thing I hate most about anxiety is wanting to do the simplest thing but being held back by my own brain. I question everything I do, the easiest tasks can give me a headache. I think about every action, every word that leaves my mouth over and over again and the worst part is, most of the time I still don't do whatever I've thought about doing because it's easier not to.
Even writing this is giving me an overwhelming amount of anxiety. Is my spelling correct? Is my grammar proper? Is it obvious that English isn't my first language? Is anyone even going to care? Is anyone even going to read this?? WHY THE FUCK DO I EVEN CARE???
I wish I didn't care!
Btw it has taken me several months and multiple rewrites to actually have the courage to post this.

hey everyone should watch superstore
it’s made by one of the parks and rec writers, it has tons of poc main characters (including a jewish man and latina woman as the main chars), actual gay characters (including a gay relationship as a plot focus!!), it’s constantly respectful of women, trans people, poc, etc. it’s for people who are lawful stupid and also fed-up retail workers. there’s an entire plot line about the main cast unionizing. please watch it because it’s one of my favorite shows and it’s viewership hasn’t been so good lately
also one of the main characters is scorpia’s voice actress from she-ra
