Little comic I drew based off this oneshot I made a while back abt frontiers
Elegant white boots fell upon the soft grass of Angel island with purpose. Rouge found some free time in her schedule to pay her favorite guardian a visit even if it were only for a half hour or so. She couldn’t imagine how lonely it could get being bound to one island in solitude for so long. No wonder why the echidna was the way he was.
And that’s why Rouge found herself there even if Knuckles was convinced otherwise, to Rouge the beautiful emerald that happened to reside on the island was a plus.
“I hope a big strong echidna doesn’t come to stop me from stealing this emerald~” Rouge acted out tiptoeing her way up the master emerald’s throne, to her surprise its guardian was nowhere in sight.
White ears fell in disappointment as the bat propped a hand on her hip, “Knuckles?”
She circled the emerald cautiously then took to the land beyond her for Knuckles. Still no sight.
Is this some kind of trap?
Rouge’s spy instincts disregarded that thought and told her she was alone.
This can’t be good. She thought bitterly.
Knuckles only left the island in dire situations which meant something bad has probably occurred.
Turning a heel she was put face to face with what she saw as her magnum opus. Her eyes filled with reflections of green pools of beauty and just looking at the emerald brought her some feeling that no other gem in her inventory could after give her.
“Well sister, I guess you’re all mine.”
A frown found itself on her lips
“Not how I thought this would happen...”
This wasn’t right.
The GUN agent couldn’t help but think what awful occurrence has happened this time and where Knuckles was and if he was okay for that matter.
Needles of concern pricking her skin had her chewing the bottom of her lip in thought of what her next move was to be.
She placed a gloved hand against the jewel and rubbed it with her thumb hoping to find an answer.
A hefty sigh escaped her lips as she looked at herself in the reflection of green,
“Don’t worry, Red.”
“I’ll guard her while you’re gone.”
