Hi all!

This NaLu-centric awards page is dedicated to showcasing writers and artists who continue to keep the fandom alive. With the ending of the original series, it is difficult to maintain the spark of the fandom, even with the ongoing sequel.

The NaLu awards are here to celebrate those engaging with the fandom and those who give fans things to engage with.

Categories will allow both art and fanfiction related to the specific genre. After nominations and voting, one piece of art and fanfiction will be selected as the winners of each category.

The categories include:

Best Angst

Best Fluff

Best Multi-Chapter

Best NSFW

Best Modern AU

Best Non-Modern AU

Best Canon-Verse

We will be taking submissions via ask until March 1st at 11:59pm (EST). If you have a favorite work by a favorite artist or writer, make sure to submit by sending the title and link via ask as well as which category you are nominating for.

So... I'm in the process of writing 2 different Nalu fanfics but I'm curious as to which one I should finish/release first.

1. An action/romantic story in which Lucy and Natsu travel the world looking for Avalon, the lost city of the Fae, all the while dodging Zeref and his goons.

2. Natsu and Lucy were in a serious relationship but because of a miscommunication, they had a bad break up. Now suddenly they are starring in a movie together and face the face that feelings still remain.

What are your opinions (if anyone cares)? Which should I release first?

I can’t stop thinking about Elijah sitting underneath the juniper tree & asking God to die. God sent an angel who says, “This journey is too much for you.” & that he must eat. Elijah does, then he rests. He wakes up still feeling hopeless, & the angel repeats himself.

It took Elijah longer than he wanted to get better. Sometimes we want to move but we can’t. Sometimes the journey is too much. It is not a sin to understand your limitations. Start there, get stronger, then get up.

I didn't know where else to post about this but I gotta say something.

I loved the Circle when it first came out. Season 1 was great and I loved (most of) the cast. I was happy to see any of the finalists win. Season 2 was the same. Season 3...

I hate it. The cast is not as entertaining, the players are weak and bow at Nick's feet, the interactions felt so staged. Granted yes, it is a game and the creators did a great job with new twists this season, but I hated watching it.

I barely rooted for anyone and by the time I got to kinda liking someone they were voted off because people are weak and easy to yield.

I wasn’t asked to a single dance in high school and didn’t have a serious romantic relationship until I was 22. And like, yeah that shit hurt when I was younger. I had a lot of fears that I was unlovable and that I didn’t deserve to be happy. And every time I would try to talk to anyone about it, the conversation became, “you’ll find someone”, when it should have been, “you don’t need a relationship or a date, you’re lovable & complete & beautiful on your own”.

So yeah, please normalize young people not dating, and please stop shaming them for it. There’s more to life than romance, despite what the media wants us to think.

hot take: katniss is a revolutionary female hero because she’s not really a hero. she fights for people, not for a greater good, and she’s willing to do awful things for her family, including killing innocents. she believes in a revolution because she wants freedom, not because “it’s the right thing to do.” she’s not a quirky female hero who always knows what to say. she’s awkward and self-depricating and blunt and not likeable, which is implicitly stated in the books and movies. she’s not comfortable in feminine clothes, she hunts, she’s scared and social uncomfortable in a way that makes others uncomfortable. she’s volitile in a way that’s very different than the normal quirky female lead, she’s not some manic bipolar idea, she’s a real person with genuine issues. she’s harsh and sharp and cruel and mean and she’s not perfect. she’s not even very likeable. she doesn’t speak much to others and when she does, it’s mostly angry or cutting. but she’s astounding and breathtakingly tragic while being real and raw and absolutely human.

Lust

Not a sin- feeling sexual attraction, sex with consenting partners, masturbation, consuming pornographic media, having several sexual partners, sex before mariage. IT’S A SIN WHEN- the person projects lust onto an unwilling recipient person and does not take into account their wants or consent. Rape, harassment, sexual assault, catcalling, dick pics.

Gluttony

Not a sin- food, enjoying food, cooking, eating sweets, eating meat. In the larger sense, accumulating material things you enjoy, like books or collectibles or whatever. IT’S A SIN WHEN- It deprives other people of what they need.

Envy

Not a sin: Wanting things you see other people have, like money, power, fame. IT’S A SIN WHEN: This is how you define people, and stop respecting them as humans. It’s a sin when you use them for what they have and what they can bring you.

Greed

Not a sin: Wanting financial security, working hard for the things you want. IT’S A SIN WHEN: Your own financial growth depends on keeping other people impoverished and suffering.

Pride

Not a sin: Being proud of your accomplishments, liking your looks, dressing up IT’S A SIN WHEN: It stops you from accepting your faults and seeing how you can be wrong, not admitting that you can better yourself.

Wrath

Not a sin: Righteous anger at situations, being mistreated, seeing other people suffer, at the injustice of the world. Self-defense. Revolution. IT’S A SIN WHEN: Violence towards defenceless people, hitting your partner or your kids,. Violence fuelled by intolerance and bigotry.

Sloth

Not a sin: Resting. Sleeping. Taking a day or a year off. Being unproductive. Playing videogames. IT’S A SIN WHEN: You stay inactive when action is required. When people need you and you’d rather do nothing.
