i'm so glad that i've found joy in bucktommy and actually like them because it seems so miserable to be one of those toxic buddie shippers lol. like yeah, buck and eddie have been through so much together, are practically raising a child together, and are each others very best friends. if they ended up together, it wouldn't be out of nowhere yknow? i'd love for them to be together, i always thought they were endgame.

but tommy actually made a move on buck and buck likes him and they're both happy and it's wonderful and i'm so happy for them. tommy isn't as bad as people think he is, and buck isn't as stupid as people think he is. if buck didn't like tommy calling him evan, he'd have said so. if he was so completely blinded by his feelings for eddie that he thought he liked tommy, i think he'd have realised by now. he is genuinely interested in tommy, and tommy is genuinely interested in him too! it's adorable. they're adorable. and they deserve to be happy.

Maybe it's just me, but I felt way more second hand embarrassment in the last episode (7x04) watching Buck desperately trying to get Eddie's attention with the weightlifting and getting his basketball delivery from Amazon (which he clearly got delivered to the firehouse to make a scene of it all) than I do watching that date clip.

Like I get it, Buck is awkward on the date (Talk Valentina... ALLY✊️), BUT I probably might have skipped some of those scenes with Buck trying (and failing) to get Eddie's attention in 7x04 just because of the second hand embarrassment if I wasn't watching a livestream last week 😂

Like the second hand embarrassment was way stronger (at least for me) watching that than it is watching this beautifully awkward baby bi stumble through his first 'date with a dude'

I think the thing about Buddie is, I don't even need it to be canon (although I would love it if they do, but they have to do it right), but I just need them to acknowledge properly how important they are to each other.
