(maybe sometimes) France nowadays would chuckle very loudly inside when he saw Spain using something decorated with irises or when Spain used perfume that has irises scent.
"It is so nice that my dear ex-husband still remembers our lifestyle back then"
1. Humans say āowā, even if they havenāt actually been hurt. Itās just a thing they say when they think they might have been hurt, but arenāt sure yet.
2. Humans collect shiny things and decorate their bodies and nests with them. The shinier the better, although each individual has a unique taste for style and colouring
3. Humans are not an aquatic or even amphibious species, but they flock to bodies of water simply to play in it. They canāt even hold their breath all that long; they just love to splash!
4. When night falls and the sky goes dark, humans become drowsy and begin to cocoon themselves in soft, fluffy bedding.
5. Some humans spend time in each otherās nests! Just for fun! Itās not their nest; theyāre just visiting each other.
6. Some humans use pigments and dyes to make their bodies flashy and colourful! They even attach shiny dangly bits to their cartalidgous membranes!
7. Humans are very clever, and sometimes adopt creatures from other species into their family units. They donāt seem to notice the obvious differences, and often raise them alongside their own young!
8. If a human sees another creature in distress, they can commonly be observed trying to help! Even at their own risk, most humans are deeply compassionate creatures!
9. If a human hears a particularity catchy sound or tune, it will often mimic it, even to the point of annoying themselves!
10. Sneezes are entirely involuntary, and completely adorable. Especially when the human in question becomes frustrated
11. Humans love treats!!! Some more than others. Many humans will save these treats specifically for a later date when they are in need of comfort or reassurance. IE, pickles, pop tarts, Popsicles, etc
12. Theyāre learning to travel in space!!! They canāt get very far, but theyāre trying!!! So far, theyāve made it to the end of their yard, and have found rocks
Watching episode 1 of ''The Sympathizer'' (2024) is surreal to me.
I once attended an event at the Independence Palace where I had the opportunity to sit in the Ministers' cabinet room. The vibe in that room is very similar to the miniseries.
Also, one of my university's campuses has very similar architecture and interior to the police station where The Captian works. That campus was built in South Vietnam before 1975 and has not changed much to this day.
''BLOOD WEDDING'' by Aogiri is one of the best doujinshi series I've ever read. There was a time when I was so fascinated that I sat down and tried to analyze them with thousands of words š
One of the details that I'm still speechless about is how Aogiri describes the France and Spain relationship.
All those who have personal feelings for Spain such as England (our main boyfriend for Spain in doujinshi <3), Austria (ah ex-husband who knows all your sins), and Southern Italy (#1 defender for Spain) in doujinshi admit that the kidnapping and blinding of Spain are crazy.
''If Spain already had feelings and ties to you both politically and emotionally, how on Earth did you betray him and force him to sacrifice himself for your sake?''
But then, France still wants more.
Even though some of them were incredibly cruel (I'm talking about you, Austria and England), France when it came to defining his scheme for Spain was brutal on the next level.
Iain Glen was tasked with a difficult job in portraying Sir Richard. Julian Fellowes never tried very hard to convince the viewers that Sir Richard actually stood a shot at taking Mary away from Downton.
Sir Richard was a necessary evil. It was important to prolong the inevitable marriage of Mary and Matthew. This is how television works. With that in mind, it couldāve been easy to not care about Sir Richard as it was always clear that he wasnāt going to be around for very long.
Carlisleās big crimes were that he was rude and that nobody liked him. Other than that, he was perfectly respectable and a great fit for Lady Mary. Sir Richardās status as a self-made man likely made him respectable to many viewers, which is a testament to Fellowesā writing. It would have been easy to create a villainous character for Mary to fool around with for a season before finally giving in to her love of Matthew, but the more challenging route paid off.
Instead, Sir Richard was given depth. Iain Glen has a knack for playing sketchy knights (he also plays Ser Jorah on Game of Thrones, another man who lusts after a girl he canāt have) and with Sir Richard, he portrayed a character who had a clear and finite purpose, but was surprisingly entertaining to watch.
Sir Richard came and played his part on a show he was never going to be part of for very long. To some, he might be a character that you love to hate or just plain hate without any love at all (like his relationship with Mary). As for me, I liked him. He was perfect for Mary, but thatās not what was best for the show. āIan Thomas Malone
