🌿Healing salts🌿

Salt is very purifying, cleansing, and healing, combine it with some various healing plants and you’ve got amazing healing salts for baths, cooking, aromatherapy, and spells. It’s also a great way to preserve your herbs!

🌿 Here’s what you need:

-Salt (regular sea salt is fine but Himalayan or Celtic salt correspond more with healing in my opinion)

-fresh healing herbs/plants of your choice (can be dried but I’ve had better results with fresh)

-mortor and pestle

-somewhere to store it

🌿Here’s some recommended healing herbs/plants:

Basil- protection, prosperity, happiness // anti-inflammatory, anti-nausea, appetite stimulator

thyme- healing, sleep, soothing // soothes respitory system, antiseptic, decongestant

peppermint- energy, health, vitality // nausea &vomiting, IBS, bloating

garlic- protection, banishment, healing // anti-bacterial, anti-viral, reduces infection

lemon peel- cleansing, purifying, joy // antioxidants, immune boost, kills germs

sage- protection, cleansing, wisdom // cough, antibacterial, soothes inflammation

oregano- luck, health, family // anti-virus, allergy relief, anti-inflammatory

orange peel- optimism, happiness, strength // immune boost, vitamins, antioxidants

lemon balm- healing, psychic abilities, uplifting // anti-anxiety, sleep, indigestion

parsley- calming, protection, passion // energy, circulation, digestion

rosemary- cleansing, divination, love// soothes sore muscles, soothes cough, improves memory

cinnamon- comfort, love, protection // anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, kills germs

🌿How to make it:

-Add a small handful of salt and the herb or herbs of your choice in your mortor and pestle (how much you use depends on the size of your mortor and pestle and how strong you want the salts to be)

-Grind them up until they’re mixed well and infused, the salt will most likely change color.(it’s easier to tell with fresh plants, with dried plants it’ll be more of a powder when it’s done). I like to use this time to focus on the intent!

-Pour it into an airtight container and you’re done, enjoy in a bath, in food, in spells, scrubs etc.

** please do research before consuming any herbs or plants you aren’t familiar with, especially if you’re pregnant or on medication.

FULL NAME: Amanda "Eggs" Benedict ALIASES: Eggs, SPECIES: Human GENDER: cis woman, she/her AGE: 26 OCCUPATION: Current owner of 'Benedicts by Benedicts', a dive-y breakfast cafe/joint. FACTION: none CURRENT RESIDENCE: Small attic room on top of BbB, enough space for a sleeping mat/bag and a small desk for paperwork. The walls are covered in messy notes for recipe ideas, calendars, and pages ripped out of food magazines. On the top of the restaurant is a chicken coop with 8 chickens, all named after Disney princesses.

PERSONALITY:  Imperfect balance of aloof and too-focused, the thinking-requirement of business management means that she's not much good at paying attention to other things. The other consequence of 7-day operation is not having time for others, meaning Eggs does not have many friends. However, the middle-aged workers that would come into BbB every morning for coffee and eggs serve as company enough. When she was in Uni, she used dating apps to try and meet people, but nothing ever came to fruition. Outside of the restaurant, her only real hobby is chicken tending and fishing, but she has interests in taxidermy. She still does want to return to Uni to finish med-school and studying medicine, but the restaurant requires too much time and no one would ever want to buy it. She is very anxious about potentially meeting her fathers fate, the stress of which does nothing to help. Inventor of 'Scrambled Egg Divination'. BACKSTORY: Regular enough parents moved to Consequence Point from an old logging town out East to open up a restaurant, having Eggs a few years later. Unfortunately at age 6 her mom would disappear, the most common theory being that she left after her and her husband's restaurant was barely holding on, seeking a better life, but the truth is yet unknown. This would lead to Eggs being raised entirely by her father, who tried enough to support her but only by working extremely long hours, which would to Eggs herself also working at BbB as a tween.

At age 18, after graduating High School, Eggs would leave for the East coast to live with a distant Aunt to pursue a college education in Medicine. Four and a half years into studies would bring the unfortunate news that her father had passed. He was found dead on the floor of the cafe by one regular the next morning. Official reports ruled it as a heart attack after a long-time diet of coffee and stress, as well as solitude. This event would bring Eggs back to her hometown, and for the last 4 years she's been the sole owner, chef, and waitress for BbB.

The cafe is open 7 days a week, holidays depending, 7:00 to 2:00, so that soaks up almost all of her time. She could notice the bizarre happenings in town, but she's almost to tired/stress to get invested. As long as no ghost prematurely spoils her half-and-half.

REPUTATION: Mediocre eggs benedicts, semi-decent coffee, but the Omelets are bussin'. All the regular's at BbB would know her mostly as an extension of her father, and it was rare to see her outside of the restaurant. Since she worked during middle/high school, she never had many friends of her own age. The older part of the town's population seems to enjoy her quick cooking and surprisingly relatable humor.
