Interested?
If so PLEASE support the RCF facebook pages!
There will be a RCF panel at Holiday Matsuri where you can test out the game and learn more about it while meeting other SU lovers and talk about the show! It is a HUGE deal for the game to have its own panel and because its for a fan game THE PANEL WILL ONLY BE APPROVED IF IT HAS ENOUGH HYPE!
this means the panel and fan pages need more likes because of Holiday Matsuris rules!
The panel will include a playable beta/pre-beta of SU:RCF(A Steven Universe Beat em up Fangame), QnA, and sneak peeks at whats to come in the future for the project. Also, if we can get this panel going, everyone who’s in attendance will get some form of prize , might even be a NPC cameo or what we should add in next in our development cycle. Only one way to find out and thats to get this Hype train going and attend the event that will happen this Holiday Matsuri!
IF YOU CANT ATTEND Holiday it will also be livestreamed and posted on youtube afterwards! If you have any interest and would like to help this project succeed it would only take a minute of your time to like these pages!
Here is the panel page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1603445959908220/
PLEASE REBLOG THIS AND LIKE BOTH PAGES TO SUPPORT THE GAME :)
these are some wonderful people working on the game that will never ask for a cent and all they can hope for is for a panel to promote their game and just have their work seen! Please please please support these people who are putting all their time and effort into something amazing and asking for nothing in return.
There is the common debate going on if ruby and sapphire are considered homosexuals because of their pronouns, but some say they are simply a couple because they are genderless, so neither heterosexual or homosexual. Thoughts?
Honestly, trying to clarify whether the characters are homosexual, genderless, or something else, to me kind of messes with the spirit of the show. Steven Universe sits in a very magical spot, and trying to define it one way or another can take meaning away from one group of people and give it to another. Our goal is not to alienate people but for everyone to find their own meaning in the show. For me what’s important is their relationship, not their pronouns. They are two individuals that are different and flawed that come together to form something strong and whole. Its a metaphor thats applicable across cultures, genders, languages and ages. Its for everyone, and that’s what I love about it.
Why doesn’t the Crewniverse post a lot of production stuff on the blog anymore? Nowadays they mostly only post fan art from crew members, episode posters, and post-episode meals. Not so “behind the scenes” anymore… They must be mega-super busy, or there’s copyright issues posting model sheets and stuff.
Let’s get one thing straight: Garnet was under absolutely no responsibility to be any nicer than she was with her initial response. She’d only met the man a single time and had no concept of his personal feelings, how he’d react, how is life was going, etc.
We, as the audience, knew of not just the strength and nature of his infatuation, but also of his personal failings, his mental state, and his fragility. What she wrote down was completely reasonable to her and, ultimately, was the bare minimum required of her… if it was even a requirement at all to respond to it. There’s an argument that she never needed to respond or give him the light of day; that he wasn’t owed a response at all.
Jamie is the one who wrote her a sappy love letter full of immature bullshit that she, out of a mixture of guilt and kindness (guindness), would inform him of later. Sure, her second response was flat out cold and dismissive; maybe inappropriately so. There’s an argument to made that it paints her as a bit of a callous bitch.
But try and consider that she’s been around for over 5000 years. She’s too old for this shit; too old to humor essentially strangers spouting their delusional, emotional rubbish. It’s likely pretty difficult at times for her to just say, “This is stupid human crap and I’m not putting up with it.” When she is informed of how badly she hurt him and how he wasn’t recovering, what does she do?
She goes to him and gives him advice to help sober his immature ass up and get him back on track. Because while she might not make much of a forward effort with strangers to make their lives better, she at least does care, and will try to do the right thing when it is made aware to her that her actions have caused lasting damage.
There’s also an argument that, that whole mess would never have happened if the kids had just given him the letter in the first place. Sure, he might have been hurt, but it would have been cut off at the pass, before he’d had time to further engorge his infatuation with her.
In short: Garnet was right, then questionable, then went out of her way to fix things… in a completely understandable manner.
