i happened to find the original demo tracks for all of the songs just on tumblr
i literally couldn’t find them anywhere else
so now i’ve put them on internet archive so that they’re easier to access :D

it’s not even that he’s a person, it’s that they use both a dog and a person to portray him-
in the beginning of the show he’s an actual dog, until tintin throws him offstage, and then this fully grown man tumbles out of stage right 😭
i get that they’re trying to get across the point that he’s a dog before this guy starts running around barking, but it’s such a weird way to do it-
additional info for the tintin in tibet show because the last post got way more interaction than i expected and a lot of yall seem to not have heard of it before

so this show was started in 2005, and made it to the west end in the playhouse theatre in 2007 (this is the production i’ve found the most info on)
i don’t know if the entire show was filmed, but we do have quite a few clips from the trailer + the cast interview!!

there have been a few different tintin stage productions (notably kuifje de zonnetempel, which is available in full online), but i’m most interested in this one because tintin in tibet is my favourite album in the series (and also it just looks really cool)

genuinely i think more artists who want to work past same face syndrome should watch thomas the tank engine. ESPECIALLY if you struggle with drawing noses. its a great reference resource for facial expressions too. i know i dont post much of my own art here (bc wrist pain makes drawing a bitch) but ive genuinely gotten so much more comfortable with drawing faces after getting really into ttte

Happy Gerry Anderson day!
Glad I could finally get this idea done (it's been in my head for 2 years now how awful), thought I should actually do sommat for GA day (mainly cause I've been so focused on other stuff it's nice to go back to it) but also not to be a sop but without GA and the shows created I would not have many friends at all, I've met so many people via these shows (mainly tbirds obvs) and I'm so glad for it! might as well make a small update to catch yall up to speed with the search
we are tantalisingly close to acquiring a recording and yet so very very far-
we have found the name of the company who made the recording, as well as some clips that they posted on their youtube channel, but we’ve hit a roadblock in that they haven’t been active anywhere online since 2018.
on their webpage for the show (linked up there somewhere or other) they say that they are “currently reformatting the films - links will be available shortly”, which implies that a public link to the show was going to be added to the page, but because of their inactivity nothing has come of it.
i’ve tried sending them an email regarding the show, but nothing has come of it so far. we have some other ideas for who may have a recording but that’s pretty much where we’re at right now :p
