Hello, a while ago I got some requests to post the GORE versions of the monsters from Monster Parlor. BELOW the cut you may peruse at your leisure.

Random, but I enjoyed drawing the Vinegar Twins and Squids gore the most, Hera gave me the most trouble but she came out just as I imagined (she was worth the effort). If I were to redo one of them, it would be Picasso, he was a bit rushed since we were nearing the end of the game jam.

I sent a meme to Roommate 1 about using the brightness on ur phone as a flashlight. He said the other night he actually did this as he emerged from his room, brightness up, on a picture of SVSSS fanart. Our Roommate 2 was on the other side of his door and proceeded to get flashbanged with Chinese yaoi.

Hellooooo a while ago I got a request for full body designs of Marie and George from Monster Parlor… I have come to deliver! (Finally, it’s been a long time) They are rough… but done! (Don’t mind my old art watermark… I haven’t bothered to change it)

Here’s Marie! Although her face is dog like I wanted/imagined Marie to be a very incompressible deep sea thing… so for a bit I was hung up on the body and postponed for some time. However, I meshed her with a Nessie/dragon/tendril like body. There is no limit to the length, number, or size of these tendrils, just only that as they swish around her body, they form these infinity loops. Her body is mother of pearl/opalescent in appearance (shoddily depicted but hopefully it makes sense), the color palette was initially inspired by sea foam and pearls. I did my best to make her have a cheerful or almost impish look. Lastly… while I was designing her I realized her front teeth kinda stuck out in the OG sprite so if you look closely she has a bit of an overbite!

Now the big boy… George! I definitely saw him having a stout, muscular body (Meta said that he’s regal enough to be the guard dog for a king and as strong as a draft horse for ploughing fields… which is exactly what I was going for!) I did my best to try and depict those said muscles but if it’s troublesome to imagine, think the way a big cat or a horse has those large strong shoulders and chest. To explain myself for the homestuck thing… inadvertently him and Dragon are KarkatXDave coded… it was an accident guys I promise…

Anyways…closing thoughts: Midway through drawing these guys I kinda wondered… what were other peoples initial expectations for their bodies? Are these drawings going to be what they expected or hoped for? Which has made me curious, if you want to draw any of these monsters, you may draw them as you imagined them (if you wish to do that)! I think filling in the gaps of the unknown is what makes literally everything (especially art) very enjoyable!

New update for Monster Parlor! Added a bunch of QoL improvements including particles, transition screens, and a new end sequence!

Someday soon, making fullbody ref sheets of these guys is a priority of mine. (Most likely Squid, Rug, Hera and the Twins first… they are my booboos)

I also have tons and tons of WIPs and other art pieces from days gone by I might post as well (although they are quite old), but we’ll see! This year I am hoping to get more pieces done (my school schedule allowing).
