Is this a sign of some sort ?

I just did a tarot card reading for myself. Simple three card spread to tell me the outline of my day. First card, nine of swords. Ok. Second card, eight of swords. At this point I’m like “haha what if the next card is the seven of swords” AND IT WAS. I wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary with my cards. I’m doing this reading at my altar. Are my god and goddess trying to speak to me ? Anything similar happened to someone else, or is anything known about cards appearing in sequence in a reading ?
