Honestly, I miss my alterhumanity.
I miss going to the woods wearing a tail.
I miss wearing animal related jewellery and nature-toned clothes.
I miss when my friends were active in the community.
I miss when I shifted more often, and when I indulged in canid media.
Most of this is very much fixable, and yet, there’s this nostalgia to it that will never be the same. I’m growing up, I’m pushing the animality to the side, it’s become a very daily and non-excitable thing now.
I miss the excitement of it.

Ive noticed a thing. I see alot of therians talk about their therianthropy in the context of it being another seperate lifestyle for them, wether that be in a spiritual past-life context or in just a general “this is a completely different part of me” context.
For me im the opposite, which is why i think i struggled a tiny bit with understanding if im a psychological or spiritual therian (or both). My therianthropy seems ingrained into my general lifestyle, but in a pretty vague yet not-so-vague sense. I feel that the things i do in my day-to-day life are dog-related, and the things i like and prefer are also dog-related.
Idk where im going with this, i just think its neat i suppose!

Activities to feel more catlike (and/or cope with species dysphoria)
Take a cat nap! (Find someplace warm, a bed, on the floor with the sun on you, outside-but wear sunscreen!)
Go on a walk outside and stalk bugs/birds (don’t kill them :( )
‘Claw’ on carpet/furniture/scratching posts
Drink some water from a bowl it’s very fun
Have energy? Zoomies!!!!
Watch cat tv/nature documentaries/your favorite show and snuggle with your favorite toys
Dig in dirt/sand box/get a zen garden thing
Play with pets!! Meow back!!! :3 have pets in tanks? Watch them!
Look outside your window and count how many birds there are
Pet yourself on the legs, brush hair, brush teeth (‘grooming yourself’)
If you can i recommend running on all fours it’s very fun when you have high energy and a good expertise
