it's okay if you aren't writing right now. it's okay not to be online. it's okay to take breaks. this is a hobby, not a job, and you should spend your time however you want to, not how others may want you to. don't stress yourself over not being around enough; it doesn't matter if you take days, weeks, or even months — it's okay to do things the way it works best for you. and if that means taking longer to reply, then so be it. people are usually far more understanding than we give them credit for.

Twenty-Eight: A kiss in parting
After five years of searching, Nix finally got a solid lead on where Alaric was most likely hiding out. Part of her knew that she should tell the Master and others in the guild. That she shouldn't go after him alone, knowing how dangerous he could be. If someone were to go with her, at least they would keep her from making a terrible mistake and kill him herself. Though she couldn't shake off the feeling that it was her duty to handle this herself. That no one needed to be placed in danger because of her. One problem remained, or rather there was something she needed to do before leaving.
Nix also had the feeling that she likely wouldn't be coming back to Fairy Tail after this. That there was a good chance the siblings would take one another out in trying to settle things. The silverette didn't want to have lingering regrets, no matter how selfish it might seem. One last chance to get hidden feelings across and say to hell with the fear of any possible rejection. So the woman waited for a certain someone to show up outside the guild, intercepting him before he could head inside.
"Freed, do you have a moment? I promise it won't take up too much of your time. I just wanted.. to tell you something but I can't think of the words so.." Nix approached him, a small smile on her face. It was now or never. Though she wasn't taking into account there was the possibility of others tracking her down. In her mind, this was it.. So the silverette took a step closer before leaning up to give the other a light kiss on the lips. "Good bye, Freed." Why did she say that? Perhaps a part of her didn't want to go alone but her stubborn family fueled pride got in the way. Nonetheless, Nix hurried off down the street and away from the other.

The morning had crept between closed shutters of the window. Peaking at the couple laying quietly in bed. Bodies wrapped in sheets and legs intertwined. The raven haired woman hummed softly as she heard his words spoken. A blush would swift dust across her features as she gazed up at him with her golden orbs. Still waking from one of the best nights she had ever slept. He had been gone for a little while and last night, was a night among lovers. Slender fingers danced along his bare chest , finding their way towards his jaw.
Gently, she faced him towards her, bringing his face closer to her. Lips meeting in the middle as a good morning before she could say good morning. Parting lips, she made her move to lay on top of him. " Good morning, darling. Who knew you were so charming in the morning.. I have to say. That morning voice is really doing it for me." A chuckle would escape as her lips painted themselves from his jaw, his neck, his cheeks and his chest before landing on his again.

They'd done it. The war was over. Acnologia and Zeref were defeated, the Dragons had all been abducted and wound up fighting alongside one another against the tyrant Acnologia. Upon falling back to Fiore from a crack that appeared in the sky once they defeated the 'King of Dragons' all the younger Dragons went to their friends or significant others. Of course, he'd find Freed with Laxus and his team, and despite being beat up AND shirtless, the Dragon would grin at his boyfriend.
Did he care that there were people around? Not at all, in fact, he was FINE with it. They'd learn that both men were off the fucking MARKET this way. He'd reach a gloved hand out and tug Freed to himself, using his free hand to grasp the green-haired male's chin, his lips would curl into a smile before he leaned closer. Intent on kissing him just BECAUSE.
He'd press his lips to Freed's, the kiss started off gentle, but grew HUNGRIER as time passed. Eventually, his tongue would ask for entrance to Freed's mouth, and if allowed, he'd suck on Freed's tongue with a purr. Did he care that Laxus and the others were nearby? Not in the slightest. All he cared about right now was celebrating their victory with his beloved. He'd pant softly as he pulled back, a grin showing up on his face as he did so.
"We won, Freed. With everyone's fuckin' help we saved Earthland,"
He KNEW everyone had helped, why else would there be so many wizards in the area? Not just Fairy Tail, Meredy being there and the marks on the wrists of most of the people in the are showed him they'd likely cast some sort of powerful spell. Which was likely how the Dragons had managed to defeat Acnologia as they had. Because he'd frozen before their final attack hit him.
"After we get home, I wanna spend some time with ya once yer free, alright? Ya don't gotta worry 'bout me bein' clingy or anythin' but I do want ya to spend the night at my place, at least."
He had a feeling Freed's team and likely a few others would also stay in some of the rooms in his house. Until the guild was repaired, he knew there were some rooms there, but Magnolia had been a disaster from what Natsu had said before they all fought Acnologia, so he wasn't sure what to expect when they got back. He HAD been told his house was fine, the protections and its location had led to that.

As soon as he spotted her, Freed would offer a smile as he looked at her from across the street. It was subtle but the lights of the harvest festival would illuminate his facade enough for Mira to register the change in facial expression.
{ At this point in time he had been so unaware; naught in heaven and hell could have made him foresee the path his heart would decide to take. No, at this point in time, it had been a promise between two friends. Friends who would enjoy the harvest festival together in harmony. }
It felt quite nostalgic really but he'd attempt not to let memories of the previous year overcome him. Mira would take up a majority of his focus and he didn't fully register the leap his heart made when finally joining her on the other side of the street, a small nod in greeting given and eyes softening in the colorful lights around them.
"Hello Mirajane. I'm glad to be here with you tonight, sincerely so."
Street lite with string lights and fire displays along the way. The smell of apple pies and ciders danced along her nose as she made her way down the streets to the place where she had made plans to meet up with Freed.
It had come to mind how far their friendship had come since what happen. But that was in the past. And in the past it would remain unless one of them felt the need to speak of it. Mirajane had no intentions of ever bringing it up.
She would be seen wearing a dress she had made herself, a deep green with gold accents on the bottom. Gold leaves sown in to the sleeves. She would let her bangs down and her curls bounced against her back. Her feet would come to a halt as she would meet the sight of the young Justine.
Bump, Bump. The Strauss woman's heart would quickly make it clear that the path of the two would later change. But as of right now, she was just happy to see her friend.
" Freed." She waved for him to notice her. Once he had joined her on the side of the street she had been on. She would bring him into a hug, smiling brightly up at him as she felt happy to see him. " I'm so happy you decided to come! This is one of my favorite times of the year! But I can't help but wish that it was closer to Halloween." Her voice laced with joy and excitement.
" Come on! I have so much to show you and yes, you do have to play the little games with prizes."

♦️ Ravyn & Freed met, it was during a meeting between their guilds. Ravyn had been by her father's side and was offered up as a connection between the guilds. She spent a lot of time with Freed. It wouldn't take them long for the two of them to become dependent on each others company.
♦️ The romance between them was forbidden as Ravyn's job was an extension of the Unseen. It was never the intent to fall in love but they couldn't helpo
♦️ She still has a ring that he gave her. It wasn't a proposal or anything of that nature. But a symbol of the promise to always find each other when they would be separated due to her father not accepting of him nor how close he had been with his prized possession.
Bonus: When Ravyn heard that Freed had joined fairy tail, it took everything in her not to run there and jump into his arms. And when he disappeared for seven years, she would have done everything to help look for him but could never find anything. Sending her into a spiral of depression. When they returned, she made a point to find him and the guild months later.
