Cub observations: Generally he's very low key/ calm/ matter of fact. He is the epitomy of the comedic straight man, bc he is comes across as serious even when he says the most ridiculous things. Several hermits have mentioned they find him hard to read because of this.
He can also lie/ bs with a completely straight face and will *Commit* to the bit 300% when he wants. This is likely how he managed to be the Jingler with people believing his fervent denials when asked. He was committed enough to come on at all hours of the day to prank when no one else was on. He kept that secret for at least a season.
He tends to say "Cheers" or "Cheers, man." rather than thanks (which is probably one of the easiest things to do writing wise). He'll also occasionally agree with a "sure, sure".
When he gets focused on something he mutters to himself and will basically zone to the point he stops talking to chat.
I recommend going back to Skizz's episode right after his return from vacation. He does a Cub imitation thats as Beef says 'a really good Cub' during the Big Wood Salmon meeting with Doc, Beef and Joe. He really does nail the cadence and tone.
