Update: nope. Turn out they decided to just ruin Roy x Keeley for no good reason.
What I keep going back to, is why?
Why break up Roy x Keeley (offscreen for that matter) without any explanation?
Why have them give each other longing looks without any meaningful conversation?
Why have them briefly reconcile for one episode only to play us in the next?
I’m frustrated by the seemingly pointless, disjointed arc both Roy x Keeley have been given this season, and I’ll never forgive it. They have done a disservice to the characters.
But, I still believe the writers are must be better than this. How can they not see what even the most casual viewer sees? That this entire plot line feels so random, when there could have been so much potential.
So I still choose to believe there’s a reason why they’ve set it up this way.
Ted Lasso loves a romcom. I’m putting all my hopes into manifesting that.

Either I have terrible luck with ships, or all writers just like to destroy the on-screen relationships they’ve cultivated.
