We are done with the text of the second part! Hurray!

Plus, we also half-drew an illustration with Victor's mystical nudity. Victor will be COMPLETELY naked there.

(spoiler: in fact, Victor will then walk around naked all the time. But you can't understand it, ahaha)

Stastics: The second part of Victor's Act is almost twice larger than the first one in terms of the size of the blank text. In terms of branching, this is a truly nightmare.

We have attached a diagram (almost certainly the final one, I swear). The scheme, does not cover all the interactions that are in the text at all)

More of that, there are 38 choices in the second part, while there are 15 in the first.

Here are some news:

Turkey is going to finish with the text of the second part this week and start inserting pictures into the code.

Shock news: there will be no bad endings in the second part (these are what we call the ones that end the game based on your choices). Which means no matter what you choose, the game will continue :D But whether you will be happy about it is questionable!

There is a lot of text (by next week we will try to calculate about how many hours of reading it will be) and it is very variable. If you want, we can also show a table by next week, but without the choices, of course, purely to enjoy the view of this huge thing, It was not for nothing that Turkey has done it :D

Plus, this month we have made good progress on the backgrounds - our regular background artist took the time and drew 3 beautiful backgrounds, plus helped Turkey with the backgrounds in the illustrations.

Turkey, when her brain was boiling after the text, started working on the illustrations. We attach a small spoiler to one of the illustrations. A plus sign in karma to the one who guesses who is in the illustration :D

The last episodes of Act II left me bewildered, and I've really been thinking it over, and I just have to ask. Spoiler free version of my silly question: are Act I and Act II in the same universe?

The first and second acts are definitely interrelated, however, we cannot provide more detailed answer

Loving the parallels between Victor and the MC in the demo. Their mutual disdain for their flesh from such different perspectives keeps me wondering if something real will happen between them in spite of the fact that we know Victor is a monster.

It's been a long time since we've written news - alas, life can be unpredictable, one might even say extremely. But you can lose heart (in Russian we say keep your hands down), or you can be inspired and enriched with a new piece of glass)

Turkey finished with another subplot of the second act, codenamed "4. A SURVIVOR without empathy and with a love obsession" and is extremely pleased with it.

There are only a couple of subbranches left, each of them gives less and less new text, but still gives, plus the climaxes and the general idea are very different. "I love it when it's like this" — the words of Turkey.

The second part of the second act of Degraman is the most voluminous in the second act and it gives incredible variability. There is still a lot of work to do, but there will be a lot of time and fun from the game.

Unfortunately, difficult circumstances will not allow us to keep the timid promises about release dates that we sometimes made in the comments.

We're sorry that we missed all the deadlines again. But we are doing everything to recoup it with the quality of our work. So far, all we can say is that we have set ourselves a release date for the second part until September'24. But these are the deadlines that we have set ourselves in order to understand how we can plan at all. Therefore, you should not take this date seriously, alas again (

I know it's not a question but...Many praises for your game and your fortitude <3

I've been a fan of otome games for over 12 years now and have played every English one and many in other languages and I can say that the model of Degraman is different but amazing! It truly is overwhelming with all the choices and different endings but, it's the first time i've ever felt motivated to explore each and every choice on top of all of the possible endings. The creative world building is beautiful and the suspense and tension and the stakes you all set are thrilling! I'm glad you've come to terms with that your game won't be able to please everyone. And in all honesty a large part of the otome if not gaming community as a whole is dumb and obnoxious as all hell. I used to translate japanese games and the outcry i'd hear from localization teams choice on which games they pick is ridiculous.

Many people have the customer is always right and simply want self gratification and validation to be right. So a game that basically doesn't have the MC be special or they can't self insert into automatically becomes trash. But I would argue the MC isn't designed to be that way nor does she need to in Degraman. It makes sense how she thinks, and it's realistic. Perhaps not relatable to many people but she's *real* no matter what choices you pick. The MC is fallable and the world of Degraman is Extremely dangerous and volatile. It makes sense how each of the choices affects the others down the line and how even the smallest difference can make big changes. I would argue its very realistic, we have no way of knowing how a single choice or word can affect our future or how different things would be if anything changed. So I quite enjoy how not transparent the game is with what the right thing you're supposed to say is. Its a very welcome change, because it allows the reader to give true answers that they feel would be closer to themselves rather than, how do I please [insert LI name here].

I am also extensively thankful for the guide it makes things a lot less frustrating after a few runs of many different bad ends. If the guide didn't exist, I'd probably only have gotten half of the endings before deciding I needed a break. But instead this crutch motivated me to really explore every nook and cranny of the game and its lore. Which again, is riveting! It's a good change of pace, as well as realistic, that a bunch of men aren't just willing to fall for this random girl and are trying to simply earn her favor in exchange for a power boost. As such it makes sense why they couldn't and wouldn't really be bothered to tell the MC the whole truth. (As well as keeping things free from spoliers down the line XD). As a female gamer and streamer surrounded by men, that is THE most relatable moment in the game. Realizing that everyone is just around for their own benefit and using you like a tool. People find honesty difficult if it could put them at the slightest disadvantage, despite it probably making things worse in the end. However, that has not stopped every single person I've ever met struggle with that problem.

So anyone that complains that this game is frustrating or bad, is probably living a very fortunate life in which they haven't been hurt too badly by other people and don't see that this is actually extremely realistic and gives power to the players choices. That or they really just wanted a cute easy game to make them feel good about themselves to escape from reality. Which I mean, from the game intro and a lot of the art previews, I think they'd realize its not a simply happy go lucky love story.

I truly can't wait for everything else to come out. I also wish there was a way like kofi or a kickstarter or patreon or something I could do to support you all! Perhaps there is and perhaps i'm inept at finding it lol.

I realized I've actually never posted these drawings of Vincent from @degraman anywhere before so here they are. I still have many more since he became my all time favorite and my comfort character 👉👈

They're all painted in different art styles since they're from last year and I was going through some experimental phases.

Turkey finished the main plot tree. It was important for us to work with a ready-made story.

There are still many side branches ahead, but the basis is already there and according to estimates it is 2/3 of the entire text.

So I noticed in the art preview, Vincent was noted to be our ex in Act II. Is Act II following one of the endings or another universe after the events of Act I?

PS. My heart breaks at thinking of breaking up with Vincent. I'd personally rather be nothing to him than be his ex and hooking up with Victor. Makes me feel bad af. :(

Saying Vincent is our ex we meant that Vincent was our Love Interest in Act I. And currently we're working on Act II, the next one.
