I found possibly my first ever animation, made in Krita, moving layers like parts of a paper puppet, exported in almost 200 jpegs, one per each frame.
I didn't know how any animation softwares worked, I didn't know any principles, I just made it as a passion project for school in like 2016. I still remember showing it off in some highschool application, and the teacher calling in some near-graduation students to show them. Looking back on it, it isn't... as impressive, to current me. However it's something very sweet and dear.
Me when I changed language preferences and reinstalled all adobe apps (after having to set up my laptop from zero again) and.... It managed to install Illustrator and InDesign in hungarian still.
......but Photoshop installed in english like i asked

the whole point of a zine is that it's cheap to produce, amateur and homemade. if you're being asked to apply to participate in a print project, it is not a zine. if the final product is being printed and bound professionally, it is not a zine. if you are being asked to enter into any kind of licensing agreement more complex than "my work can be reproduced as part of this publication" it is not a zine. nine times put of ten if the final product costs more than $5 you have left zine country. im so serious about this.
A spirit slumbers in a magical forest guarding it and it's treasure. A visitor comes by to catch a moment of piece and quiet. They nap.
What if the Captain (by @mapo-leon) was a pirate, and the Deer was their good friend and companion (and magic body guard, but most of the crew don't know that 🤫),,
Well, a lot of shenanigans would happen! Two semi-immortal spirits doing piracy does attract attention.. It may even lead to enemies trying to steal his selkie coat to gain control over him!! Luckily, he has a good ship, a loyal crew, and a furious spirit by his side.
In the end, they do decide it's best if the Deer takes the precious coat and holds it in her magic forest, keeping it safe until the enemy is defeated and they can sail together once again.
Back in 2023 September I reblogged this from my dear friend @mapo-leon joking in the tags "oh look, it's me, your wife". The context was us being silly while trying to figure out our sonas and putting them in Situations. We weren't... that close, back then. Yet.
Aaand then I reblogged this image, and it started the kind of brainrot you cannot escape. The amount of Captain and his "Wife" art that happened since is insane.. Even more importantly, this brainrot resulted in us getting closer and now he's one of my dearest and closest friends.
So, here is the drawing that started it all. "The Captain and his Wife"
