Dokis’ Love Languages

When I was thinking of the dokis’ love languages, I did a bit of research and realized that the 5 most popular love languages are all just perfect for what I hc the dokis, so:

Monika: Words of Affirmation. Not only is she the one who has the most ridiculous and over the top pet names for everyone, she deeply craves praise from her lovers and when she receives it she melts.

Sayori: Physical Touch. She is super buggy and loves just being in contact with her partners, it gives her a huge sense of comfort and love.

Natsuki: Receiving Gifts. Although she is pretty bad at receiving gifts, she really appreciates it as she kinda grew up not getting a lot of things, so every thing she gets or gives means the world to her.

Yuri: Quality Times. Just doing stuff with all the others makes her feel loved and comforted and she just likes hanging out with those she loves in general.

MC: Acts of Service. Time and time again he tries to help or support others and just tries to be kind and understanding for the rest of them, even if he’s kinda dumb. It also just warms his heart and makes him kinda emotional whenever someone does something kind for him.

Natsuki: I am going to stomp on your face as if you were a fucking doormat with my steel-toe boots!

Monika: Ohhh~ kinky.

Natsuki: I no longer want to do that.

At times when Sayori and Natsuki are hanging out in Sayori’s house they just start staring out of a window without talking, staying like that until someone or something interrupts them.

One time Sayori farted while they were doing this and Natsuki just walked out and went home without saying anything.

I’ve been making on and off this poly ddlc fanfic, that now is in it’s 3rd revision and I kinda want to tell you something about the Monika from that story that might be interesting.

I’m making her a Christian slowly losing her faith with her sanity being lost with it. I originally wanted a way to make her a person with a lot of problems that parallel the Monika we see in the main game that could work in a real world au (because I believe that there is no way there could be a happy ending in the game), and what’s her big problem in the game? Dealing with a big old existencial crisis that makes her believe that everything in her world is meaningless! That sounds like something pretty existencial and I see a lot of people that are losing their faith get hit the worst with this kind of stuff.

The only reason she hasn’t snapped into a mental breakdown is because she fell in love with MC and she crushing on someone kinda feels like a religious or otherworldly experience. So she just clings to that feeling becoming an obsession in order not to break down.

Yooooo I just wanna say thanks for making this blog because as a fandom we are starved for poly doki content

Now I personally tend to headcanon MC as aroace which definitely goes against the headcanons of this blog but when reading posts from here I either ignore my own headcanon or instead interpret MC here as being in a QPR with the others while the girls are all together romantically but all five of them still love each other the same

I'm not entirely sure why I brought that up if I'm being honest, I think the main point is that despite what I normally do, you've been able to make content that is still really REALLY enjoyable (and also because I'm a bit curious on your opinion of aroace MC)

Thanks dude! Funnily enough one of the main reasons I made this blog was because of the drought of polyclub (I dunno if it’s a widespread ship name, but I like it), so I decided: “Fuck it, if no one else is going to do it, then I am!” and the I did lol.

Now I personally can’t really see MC as aroace, probably because I see him as kinda romance starved (if that’s even a term). I think that’s mostly due to the fact that everyone that likes MC has a version of them in their head (you could also say that about any character thanks to the fact that we all interpret characters differently, but it’s most appear to with MC) thanks to the fact that he was deliberately made with very little personality in mind, even through he does present some, you just have to look for it. He’s kinda like a vague idea of a character that people mold to better fit their AU or story and I kinda like that as fan of ddlc.

Anyways thanks a lot for the ask and the continuous support, I remember that you basically like all my posts and constantly reblog my silly little things and I really appreciate it, it helps me keep me motivated to write on this blog. Love wins!!!!!

I always had the headcannon that yuri was fucking loaded. Like her parents were abroad or smth and they just keep sending her money.

I actually have basically the same headcanon, but for Monika, but instead of being oversees, they’re too busy to actually raise their kid. And that’s one of the reasons she really craved attention from the player (apart from wanting to be real) in the main game and why she’s, well, like that in the side stories.

But anyways, yeah, Yuri is definitely at least high middle class.

MC is a complete crybaby when it comes to emotional movies, but he doesn’t sob or really make much noise, the tears just kinda fall down his cheeks as stares with his usual blank face. Yuri and Natsuki find it weird, but Monika and Sayori find it cute.

MC: Happy 4/20, hahaha.

Natsuki: You don’t deserve to celebrate 4/20, not after what you did to that blunt.

Is anyone in the club a big fan of hot chocolate?

Natsuki and Sayori are both very big fans. Although Natsuki feels kinda awkward drinking hot chocolate when it’s not cold bcs it makes her feel childish, even if craves it. Sayori drinks hot chocolate whenever the opportunity is presented to her.

Monika and MC both like hot chocolate as much anyone else. Aka they really like it, but it’s not a drink they’d drink twice a week (unless it’s the holiday season).

But Yuri doesn’t really like it, she can’t handle sugary drinks that well. She only really likes it when it basically has no sugar and it’s mostly cacao, and it’s not like she’s in love with bitter hot chocolate. When the rest of the polycule found out, they were like “How could you not like it? Everyone loves hot chocolate!” and she just shrugged.

Mc can’t say no to Sayori, especially after she confessed she had depression to him. It’s only Sayori though, not even Monika can break through him as consistently as her. These are the main reasons:

She’s a cute girl, MC’s biggest weakness and she abuses that fact from hell and back.

She’s his childhood friend, they know each other better than themselves. It’s hard to say no to someone like that.

He kinda feels he owes Sayori something considering he stopped talking to her during middle school, which he believes only worsened her depression.

He wants to see her happy, even if it’s spoiling her rotten.

Although he can like at first reject her, she just begs for it until he finally breaks.

She almost has a 100% success rate, unless he can find himself out of the situation or she’s trying to be tricky, which MC calls her out on.

Natsuki: Dude, crocs? Really?

MC: Yeah, they’re comfortable.

Natsuki: They feel better to chew than to actually wear. And they’re like a mid tier choice.

MC: You rank how good it feels to chew on certain things?

Natsuki: You should know me well enough to not be weirded out by that, dude.
