Is there a specific date that accepted people will get an email before rejection emails are sent?
We’re hoping they get sent by Wednesday, however this will be subject to the applicants still agreeing. If people back out, it is likely some people will receive acceptances later than this so I would say just keep a close watch on your inbox over the next week just in case!

For the acception / rejection emails, is there a specific email address that people should look out for? Just in case the email gets sent to spam or someone tries to impersonate the emailer or something ^^
Yep, it’s alllll going to be from [email protected]! So it should be pretty easy to recognise it’s us!

will non-accepted applications be informed of their non-acceptance? Just thinking like, what if someone doesn't get one because their email was incorrect but they were accepted so they just didn't show? Sorry, big overthinker here
Absolutely, friend!
You guys put the effort in (and oh boy are we seeing that effort!) of applying- you will be getting a response either way!
We are still working through these and we’re loving every single one of these applications and it will be heart breaking to pick (we would fit you all in if we could!)
Acceptances will go out first, rejections will go out afterwards- this is in case people back out, and the offer will go to the next person on the list.
We will try a number of means to get in touch with accepted individuals if we don’t get a response the first time around but we will be limited by time so please keep an eye out for correspondence from us!

No, indicating which roles you’ve applied to helps but won’t affect your application!

For merch role. Do we provide photos of the physical merch we've made or just the image designs of it for the examples?

Hello!! I have already applied as a page artist and at the time I didn’t think I wanted to apply for a spot artist as well, however since then I have changed my mind and would like to apply for both spots. In my original app I selected no to the applying for other spots. If I make a new app for spot artist, is it acceptable to place that info in the comments section or is there a better way to go about that?

All even ground! Whether you apply at the beginning or the end, you’ll be assessed on the same level as everybody else! Entry will rely on your submissions, so give it your all and show your best colors!

It says in the description that the zine is primarily going to be canon DCA and no shipping. For the artist application, are we allowed to submit drawings of DCA ship art? Additionally, can artwork submitted be non-DCA related just to show off composition and artistic skill?

Hello! I have a couple silly questions, never participated in a zine before haha
One; what are y'all looking for in the pitches? Is a simple sentence alright, or would a longer summary be preferred?
Two; I understand the zine will be focused on platonic stories and art, but for our examples, is it alright if we submit works that contain romance?
Hello friend! No worries!
One: Whatever you feel you need to do to get the idea across! It doesn’t need to be as short as a tweet or as long as an essay! Go wild!
Two: Absolutely! While the zine won’t be focusing on ships, you can submit examples of it for your application!

I wanted to know, what about the people who are about to turn 16 this year? Say, in 3-4 months. Do they have to be exactly 16?
To keep things consistent, we have determined that if you turn 16 prior to April 22, then that would be fine. Unfortunately that would mean that those who turn 16 after contributor applications close would not be eligible. There may be more projects to come in the future, but we shall see!
