"Paul, as I’ve told you earlier, went into a deep blue hermit sort of mood which was anything but pleasant for us while it lasted. I used to mope a lot, too, and show in a whole lot of ways that I felt hard done by. Perhaps the most obvious was becoming accident-prone.
