What did you name your Hawke? why? In universe, why did Leandra and Malcom named them that?
For my Hawke I named her Areida (named after the character from Ella Enchanted) because I liked it. In universe, Leandra and Malcom named her that because it sounded like a feminine form of Leandra's father's name, Aristide, as that's what they would have named her if she had been a boy.

CONFESSION:
I was watching YouTube videos of walkthroughs of the haunted houses for this year's Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Park. When I saw that they did a house based on the game "The Last Of Us" an idea came to me. I know it will never happen because Universal Studios doesn't have permission or rights to do so but I think it would be interesting if one year they did one of their houses based on the Dragon Age games. The house would take park goers through either the Deep Roads or some other spooky location and scare actors would be dressed as Darkspawn, walking corpses, Ghouls, and other scary creatures or characters and their would be a couple of actors playing Alistair, Morrigan, or any other major character. The house could also have a big animatronic of either an Ogre, a Broodmother, or even the archdemon.

CONFESSION:
I just watched the first episode of the mini series "Flowers In The Attic: The Origin". When the character Mrs. Steiner first appeared and started speaking I knew right away that it was Kate Mulgrew who you all obviously know plays Flemeth. The Dollanganger series is one of my favorite book series written by V.C. Andrews and the fact that one the actresses from the Dragon Age franchise plays a character in a tv adaptation of my favorite book series just makes me like the books even more.

I, personally, cannot hate Solas. Despite his actions and his plans, I cannot hate him. I hate that he feels the need to walk his path alone and isn't willing to share the burden of his task with someone he so obviously loves and who so obviously loves him in return, but I cannot hate him.
As much as I disapprove of his methods for achieving his wishes, I understand his thought process and how he went about making his decision. It isn't about killing the non-elves for revenge or destroying the people of modern day Thedas because of retribution for how the history of the Elvhenan was left to be forgotten. It's just simply the only solution he can see to atone for the sins he believes he's committed. He took something from the world and so now he's intending to give it back— even if it means the people who are alive now have to perish.
Solas isn't doing this to kill them, he's just under the impression that dying for the Veil to be destroyed and allowing the new life to see the world as the Elvhenan once did is better than living a life where the connection to magic is blocked or weakened by the Veil.
I don't support or condone his methods, but I understand how he came to the conclusion he did. He awoke in a world so vastly different from what he was used to, aware that it had all changed and believing that the suffering of the elves was a consequence of his own actions. When he reached out to the Dalish, the elves who were trying to remember their history and retrieve what they could in an attempt to keep that ancestry alive, he was met with disdain and rejection and learned that they had twisted history in a way that was so far from the truth that he knew, but none of them would listen when he tried to tell them.
I don't see him as a monster— I see him as a victim who's trying to fix something he believes he broke, desperate to not be alone anymore in a world that is the consequence of his actions.

Solas: The thing to do is as follows: First, issue a reward—
Cole: Bless you.
Solas: [confused] I beg your pardon?
Cole: You sneezed just as you were about to say what the first thing to do was.
Solas: I didn't sneeze.
(Cole and Sera look at each other. Then Sera makes a mischievous smirk on her face)
Sera: Yes, you did, Solas.
Solas: No, I didn't! You can't sneeze without knowing it!
Sera: Well, you can't know it without sneezing.
[Solas makes an exasperated look on his face thinking "That doesn't even make sense"]
Solas: As I was saying, first: issue a reward—
Cole: [whispering to Sera] He's doing it again. [to Solas] You must be catching a cold.
Sera: [giggling] He sure is.
Solas: [ getting frustrated] No, no, no! I'm not catching a cold! I said ISSUE, not AH-CHOO! And 'ah-choo' isn't even a word! It's just some sort of sneezy sound, like 'Ah-choo!'
Cole: Perhaps you should lie down, Solas.
(Solas facepalms)

Confession: I often get “Skyfall” in my head while playing Inquisition. It’s not just because the song fits pretty well with the plot–the song just comes to mind whenever I think about or visit Skyhold.
Mod note: you can hear the song here.

I can relate to Cassandra when it comes to my writing skills. My writing comes off as bland and looks at though it has been written by a child and I have trouble finding the right words that describes what I'm writing.
