Dark Matter Transit (DMT) is a SciFi, triology.

In volumes 1 and 2 there are brushes in space with an AI race and the biological races in space . Culminating in volume three with all out war between them

In a way, as an author,of Sci Fi, I am delighted by rhe present media discussions re the future relationship between humans and AI. In the story robots were abandoned by their owners when their planet was in the path of an asteroid. Most of the robots survived because they did not require, air, food, daylight, schools, houses, medical facilities . The robots were already equipped to produce and repair other robots which they did and gradually the evolved to create their own society and laws .The laws they set were 'Machine Law. ' Machine law totally lacks empathy and is entirely logic based. When the the new race of Robots from the planet ( named by humans as Terrabot), finally come into contact with space's bilological inhabitants . Especially the laws of justice and ownership.Machine law dictated that resources belonged automatically to the entity best able to make use of them. For illustration ,the people of the Solar system had little use for Mars except for mining purposes. The Terrabots could populate Mars and mine it for the materials they needed.It was logical (vide machine law) that the people of the Solar system would concede that Terrabot had the better claim to mars and vaccate it in favour of Terabit. From a Terrabot point of view to resist their demand would be an illegal act on the part of the Solar System who would then seek to enforce ownership. Thus, across the galaxies war broke out between Robots and biologicals . And, its on Amazon .

Forget warp drive, hyperdrive , light speed they are far to slow to use for space exploration , whereas worm holds are too unpredictable . The new kid on the block to voyage the cosmos is Dark Matter Transit (DMT if you have already heard about it) DMT exploits that Dark Matter has no physical dimensions .
