the grip you had on his bicep were firm, tightening ever so slightly to keep him in place and from walking away any further. JJ had always been stubborn but at this very moment, he was the most stubborn he had ever been. “please just talk to me? tell me what ha-“

he yanked his arm out of your hold and gently grasped your shoulder, moving you to the side. “just some kooks- ya know how it is-“

“it’s not just from kooks JJ, how stupid do you think i am?!” the blond was taken aback by your sudden change of tone. your voice ringing in his ear as you continued to yell and argue with him. why was it so hard for you to let this go?

sweat trickled down his neck and back, pieces of hair clung to his forehead and this summer heat was already unbearable enough, he didn’t need your nagging voice to irritate him any further.

he didn’t expect you to be around any time soon, so the plan of avoiding you didn’t work out as well as he hoped. he’s regretting ever coming here in the first place.

“do you expect me to just let this go? you’re lip is literally bleeding J-“

“it doesn’t fucking matter Y/n- just let it go alright?”

“baby i’m just worried okay? was it your dad again? i swear to fucking god i’ll kill him-“

“can you shut up for once in your life!?” his voice echoed through the chateau walls, so loud that you flinched and took a few steps backwards. anger boiled deep in the blond’s system as he tried to control his breathing. the usual twinkle in his soft blue eyes were gone and were now replaced by a hard cold glare. you have seen JJ angry before but this..

it almost terrified you.

“fuck, i-“ he sighed. running a hand through his blond tresses as he felt a small pang in his chest by the startled look on your face. your lips quivered a little, eyes glazed over with tears and if it wasn’t for this dumb situation you both got yourselves in then he would have told you, you were the prettiest thing he had ever seen. even on the verge of tears.

JJ couldn’t swallow his pride so the bastard left without saying another word. leaving you there to worry about him even more than you already were. the guilt was slowly making its way into his heart as he regretted turning away from you but nothing could stop his feet from moving forward. he left the chateau without looking back.

he felt like absolute hell yelling at you like that as if you were the whole reason why his day turned to shit in the first place. it was already too late to turn back and apologise but the further he walked the more he realized how amazing you treat him. he didn’t deserve your love, nor did he deserve you in general.

you deserved better than some selfish, aggravating asshole that he was. you deserve someone who could give you the whole world and even if JJ wanted to be that person he knew he couldn’t no matter how hard he tried.

he’s sorry that you have to endure so much bullshit because of him.
