Fauna’s guide to never binging.
okay. I’m back with a banger.
1. Know your body.
Its important to know what you crave the most so you can find alternatives. Do you have more of a sweet tooth? Or do you binge on savoury the most.
2. Know your trigger foods
You’re probably here because you’ve binged a lot before. What foods start the binge? Get rid of them.
If you live alone, it’s easy. Chuck them out and do not let yourself buy them. And if you live with people, try to store your food in a separate cupboard! It’s easier to resist temptation if you don’t have to see the food.
3. Get out of the kitchen and get busy
Seriously. If you’re not hungry, and are only binging because of cravings then what are you doing in there? Get a glass of water, and go do something productive. You could:
- tidy something
- read a book you’ve had for a while
- watch tv
- pick up a hobby such as crochet
- do the thing you’ve been putting off for ages (yes, you know who you are)
The list is endless. Pick something and do it, don’t think about binging.
4. Drink some water.
Grab 2 glasses of water and chug them. Sometimes we feel the need to binge because we’re dehydrated!
5. Meditation.
If meditation works for you, you can do this!! Set your own affirmations and go for it: “I am not hungry, my mind is free of all cravings, I am stronger than my cravings”
6. Find an alternative.
If you know you’re not going to manage without eating something: find a low calorie alternative. Here are my favourite alternatives!!
Sweet Cravings:
- caramel rice cakes
- sweet popcorn
- jello/jelly
- fruit (particularly strawberries!!)
- low fat Greek yogurt bowl
- ice lollies (homemade will be lower cal)
- frozen grapes!
- mints/ sweet flavoured gum
- diet drinks/ sugar free drinks
- apples dipped in peanut butter/ yogurt and cinnamon
Savoury cravings:
- salted/ salt and vinegar rice cakes
- salted popcorn
- carrot sticks
- cucumber roll ups
- tortilla pizza (small ones with low fat cheese)
- crispy tofu bites
- kale crisps
- sesame seeds
- roasted broccoli seasoned with homemade salt and pepper (Chinese style)
- rice paper wrappers! or, lettuce wraps
There are literally so many alternatives that will leave you feeling satisfied! Don’t eat food you know won’t satisfy you when you feel like binging - you’ll most likely go back for more.
And remember, it’s better to eat something relatively high calorie (around 300) and feel satisfied rather than eating over 1000 of things that will leave you miserable.
Yes, even if you’re supposed to be fasting.

going on a cruise in 3 weeks so i wanted to find a rlly pretty dress to wear for fancy night or whatever. i found a black one with lace and gems and what not. aaaaaaaaand i couldn’t fit into it. it was too small. i bought the dress so now my goal is to fit into it before the cruise. :’)

Part of me wants to starve a ridiculous amount this summer and completely destroy myself just to see the look on peoples faces who haven’t seen me in awhile. To see that shock in their eyes again like when I was at my lowest weight is all I want rn.
