This is a collab between me (lineart), Mod Wynn (sketch), and Mod Kat (colors)!

Well, it's finally time... I started this blog a year ago to have a place to dump all of my Heathers doodles since it was my biggest hyperfixation at the time and I didn't want to annoy people on my main. Since then, I've gotten help from a few talented artists to help run it and the blog gained a lot more traction than I had expected ahaha. Thank you all for your requests along with your patience with us. It's been so much fun drawing and talking about this musical+movie with all of you, I can't even begin to describe how grateful we are for the experience! All the love and support we've gotten has been absolutely amazing and we really want to thank all of you for letting us make so much content for the fandom! Seriously, you guys are such sweethearts!!  

The runtime of this blog has come to an end, but it will stay up as an archive for our Heathers doodles. The inbox will be closed as well, so if you have anything to say to us, you can just reply to this post. Thank you so much. We love you all.

i'm curious, Wynn and Kat, do you prefer the movie or the musical? why do you prefer it? which one did you see first?

I was introduced to the musical first then I saw the movie, and honestly I'm pretty tied. I like both for different reasons. Heathers was the first musical other than Phantom I'd ever seen so I have a nostalgia thing to it, but the movie is a cult classic and has Winona Ryder. I also have an attachment to the movie too, but I probably shouldn’t say the reason cause it's uhhhhhh not very PG 😂😳 Interpret that as you like lol.

I can’t really pick between the two, but I saw the musical first and I was surprised that it was based on a movie because it was the 3rd musical that I listened to 😄 I had no idea on what musicals are yet. I love the musical because the cast hahaha and I love the movie because Kim Walker and Winnona Ryder (I live for Shannen Doherty’s smile and Lissane Falk’s cuteness) 😂

I personally love Jamie Muscato’s accent in Heathers! Realistically, he would sound different, as he’s travelled all around the country and it’s his first time in Ohio. It just makes his portrayal unique as well

To be fair to Musical Veronica, she does have one pretty badass trait: JD's the one who's got a gun, and she goes to stop him with only a croquet mallet. That's pretty ballsy.

I HATE HOW THEY DID JD’s DEATH IN THE MUSICAL. In the film, the bomb was stopped. He didn't have to kill himself but he chose to. It was like a mutual understanding between Veronica and JD, that he just had to die. In the musical he sacrificed himself to save everyone and Veronica was like ”noooo please it can't end this way” and JD was like ”I will die for you Veronica because I love you!”. Like,,, making him sacrifice himself doesn't make up for what a horrid person he was.

definitely. the whole musical kinda just justifying JD's actions with changed scenes is a huge pet peeve for me now that y'all have pointed it out so much lol. that scene also takes away musical veronica's whole "fuck it i'm done with you" attitude compared to movie veronica just lighting her cigarette with JD's explosion, but i guess it does give her more humanity?? wouldn't we all love to take our fucked up (ex?)boyfriend to therapy instead of just letting him blow up as sacrifice?

i agree, but it's more of a nitpick for me than an actual complaint. we can all totally still headcanon Chandler as the youngest of the characters tho lol
