honestly that's up to you guys. There wasn't a whole lot of interest in general when I ran it this past year. Would more people be interested in 2024 now that the 02 movie is out? Maybe I'll post an interest check poll later in the year.

Chapter ½: Reconnecting

Characters: Daisuke Motomiya, Takeru Takaishi, Hikari Yagami, Miyako Inoue
Summary: Takeru Takaishi did NOT start out the day expecting to develop a crush on his old friend Daisuke. Completely out of the blue, at age 32 and some change. He supposed it wasn’t the worst thing that could happen in his life right now.
Some tags of note: depression, alcohol use, chubby Daisuke, they are adults in their 30s, kizuna compliant in the sense that the ending of kizuna happened
Notes: Written for @daikeruday 2023. This story uses video game style text boxes in place of dialogue, therefore the AO3 word count is not accurate. Actual word count: 9845.

The #DaikeruDay2023 Prompts are here! Feel free to use any or all of them when you make content. But if you’re not feeling any of the prompts, don’t worry— the prompts are just suggestions. You can use the day as a “free day” as well.
Also, the below ideas are suggestions and starting points. Feel free to use and interpret the prompts however you’d like!
Writing & Ramen: Takeru wants to write novels and Daisuke wants to make the perfect ramen. How might these two career paths collide as they age into adulthood?
Basketball & Soccer: We’ve seen Takeru’s basketball prowess and Daisuke’s keen soccer abilities. How do their interests in two different sports play into their relationship? Is there a sport or game that they might both be good at?
Hope & Miracles: Explore the similarities and differences in these concepts, and how they might relate to a developing relationship or their combined story in the Digital World.
V-mon & Patamon: How might they interact with each other’s Digimon partners? How do V-mon and Patamon fit into Daisuke and Takeru’s lives once they start a relationship?
Rivalry: Daisuke and Takeru have butt heads a few times throughout the series, and they don’t always see eye to eye. What are your favorite moments when they act as rivals? Daisuke takes their “rivalry” a bit more seriously than Takeru does. How do his feelings change over time, or when they get together? What kinds of lessons do they learn when they start to understand each other’s viewpoints?
Realization: When does Daisuke realize he’s interested in Takeru? When does Takeru realize? How do they go about expressing their feelings?
AU: Go wild! Coffee shop AU, flower shop AU, Star Trek AU, ghost hunter AU, Digimon 2020-verse AU. Anything your heart desires.
First Date: Would Daisuke take Takeru out to eat ramen on their first date? What kind of hat would Takeru wear on their first date? Get creative and tell us all about the very start of their relationship!
