I love how all the characters were written with equal importance and were all great in their own way.
The humour is on point.
And while a little strange at first, I think catnaps voice fits in nicely with the others.

The irony of catnaps ending (spoiler again)
It was the EXACT same way his human self nearly died trying to escape Playcare.
Electrical discharge from a grab pack, either his wet fur from the steam or the red smoke was caught alight by the discharge, thus he got burned and then the prototype came in as a saviour.
I’m thinking that in a way Catnap will still live on if what we’ve heard from the prototypes voice is true.
Thus once again the prototype has (somewhat) saved Theodore Grambell.

A note about Dogdays height for writing reference. (Image spoilers)
So this lovely person called Val (@fitsz_gaming) on Twitter (I’m not calling it fucking x) showed off an image of porting the chapter 3 models they had done.
Now there’s something I want to point out here for the inevitable (but VERY WELCOME) Fanfiction about the player saving Dogday.
He’s HUGE
Because we only see part of his body along with the fact he’s on the floor lower then us-if gives off the illusion that he’s one of the smaller Bigger bodies, maybe around 5-6 foot.
However look at the above height comparison
Now look at this selection of screenshots I took from an out of bounds video by babyZone on YouTube. (POPPY PLAYTIME CHAPTER 3-ALL SECRETS 4K) if you are interested in the video.
First off-Catnap showing just how tall he is compared to your average doorway-which are normally 6’7” in America.
If you watch any gameplay of the home sweet home part he is LITERALLY BRUSHING THE CEILING.
Then our grabpack hand on the jump pad-the grab packs hands are a little big bigger then the average humans from promotional material.
Then here’s Dogdays!
Our hand print is about the size of the thumb on the illustration, Dogdays is about the size of the palm and roughly half the fingers.
You are NOT ‘slinging the injured dog over your shoulder and making a beeline for the nearest exit’
You are getting FORKLIFT certified, getting said forklift INTO PLAYCARE and carrying that massive fucker out a steady speed while ensuring all OSHA standards are met while doing so.
He is a true BIGGER BODY.
And that’s WITHOUT legs.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 3. (Spoilers)
Did anyone else feel that despite being given such individualised characteristics-the smiling critters were underutilised?
The fact that they only even showed up in the playhouse as small enemies aside from a VERY brief cameo from Dogday was annoying.
This leads me to MAJOR missed opportunity in the use of Dogday as an immediate opposing force to Catnap: having HIM be the one guiding us instead of this random kid named Ollie who we STILL know nothing about (Poppy apparently does but neglected to so much as give us a hint). I just feel that trying to get the lights on would have it perfectly into Dogdays element and worked against CatNaps sleep/night element. It would have at least given us more character to Dogday as a leader and how he goes about it.
Also we were NEVER even made aware there WERE bigger body versions of the other critters. They went on and ON about poor Theodore nearly dying and the protype saving him (by letting him be transferred in to a body anyway, which is the in game version of ‘my job here is done’ ‘but you didn’t do anything’) but we didn’t hear so much as a PEEP about DogDay or the other Bigger body versions of the critters he references. Massive missed chance for story and gameplay by not having them as antagonists, or even warring factions (half with catnap, half against etc) even a few notes detailing craftycorn painting with kids resulting in half a wall becoming a mural, Dogday being kind and bringing Stella coffee or being a general helper, hoppy stealing Stella’s coffee and going on a bender.
Catnap himself was pretty underutilised despite having creepy moments and the boss battle was just plain repetitive towards the end.
Hell, Miss Delight felt more like a ‘stalking in the night’ predator then Catnap.
There was a LOT more that could have been done with them, or even just Dogday.

Kiriko finally gets to show the Overwatch team what she can do on her bike.
Kiriko: Check me out guys!
Gets on her second hand Barbie themed child bike with stabilisers, in front of the entire Overwatch squad. Wobbles like a new born baby while sweating profusely as she goes in slow circles. Eventually wobbles so hard she tilts the bike and snaps the stabiliser, falling straight into a pile of dog shit. Managing to pull herself up, now crying in horror, disgust and embarrassment, she crawls over to the team who are huddled together and slowly backing away.
Kiriko: D-did you s-see me o-o-on m-my bike!?
