So, with my theory about the "origins/true identity" of the Aequilibria that I've alluded to a handful of times in the past, I found myself extremely interested with everything it said during the latest release, so I thought I'd look at each one individually

Impurity

If you're wondering why I'm focusing on such a line. Impurity for the Pre-Reset orb, to me, indicates that it has awareness of it being "external", and it considers it as affecting the purity of its world. Quite odd that it used this word, and nothing else

With an anomaly

The Hero is an anomaly, hm? What about them is anomalous. The only thing "unusual" that I can immediately place about the Hero is the fact that "they came before", as Kathoolthalas put so bluntly. Is it that they're the only "true" survivor of before the Reset? The only one to be transplanted, not recreated? Or is it something else

We are the Elements

I guess it fits the eight eyes-lights things. But are they saying they're literally a tangible expression of the building blocks of reality? Notably, while researching this line, I saw one interesting one from Kathoolthalas

"Molded and shaped, became eight, became one. Twisted embodiment" Is Aequilibria this twisted embodiment? It's both Eight (the lights) and One (the dragon head)

To return to us is the inevitable fate of all things

I won't lie I'm still not sure for that one. It seems to just follow through the previous line. They're not just a force that exists within reality, they're reality itself.

Assessing the state of the shell.

Now this is where it gets interesting One : Aequilibria starts talking like a robot from this line onwards Two : the shell? Not just the planet, or the world, or anything. The Shell. Such an odd term. What it tells me is that Lore exists to protect the Mana Core. Act as an outer shell to it. Is it just a shell in this sense, or in an even more literal sense. Is Lore secretly a dragon egg for the Aequilibria? I mean, it would have been here under our nose from the start if that's the case

The Creator's cycle has been disrupted

What.. does that mean? Did something happen to Fluffy's egg before it had a chance to hatch? Did Seppy's corruption seep through into its next reincarnation?

The caretakers' location cannot be defined

This one is pretty obvious. The caretakers are the avatars, and they're now gone, orbed, and put in Lock and Key

Numerous holes in the fabric found

If I had to make an assumption, this is talking about the various Proclamation Rifts, not much more to see here. Although the fact that the Deadlands Rift is still open is proooobably gonna be cause for an issue with it

Disruptions to the flow of fate found

Now THAT is an interesting quote. The flow of fate. That means that Aequilibria focuses on a specific Fate it has planned for the world, and if it doesn't go this fate, it immediately goes on the defensive. The question is... what caused this disruption in the first place?

Numerous errors and anomalies found

Once more, this is an interesting line. Errors and anomalies found What are its errors and anomalies? My current theory.. we saw it call two things anomalies (or similar words). The Pre-Reset orb, and the Hero themself. Do they view Pre-Reset/Reset related stuff to be anomalies?

A thought just hit me When we reach the mana core and ESPECIALLY when we meet the Aequilibria, it's this blinding white hue with iridescent colors slowly changing along

Which is a strikingly similar color scheme now, isn't it? Almost reminds me of... something, someone

Someone like Elpis

And if I remember properly, it was mentioned *somewhere*, although I can't find where, that the Void Core is basically the Mirror of the Mana Core, and is connected to it, hence why Aspar sought to destabilize it (Update : nope it's just a theory I read online, ignore that. Still, the other connection is still glaring) So... what if the reason Aegis couldn't find Tomix's ES form in the Plane Of Elemental Spirits is that he wasn't here... but rather Elpis has been trapped here, in the Mana Core, this whole time

Oh I can help with that! It's the symbols of the Drakylon cube! So definitely dragon tech!

I've been LOSING MY MIND over this ever since seeing it!

*squints* and who's are you?

We know this is pre-Reset tech but it doesn't look Shadowscythe in design. It matches up to something we've seen before, I think, but I can't put my finger on it. Something about the design is familiar but "engraved ball" doesn't immediately register as a specific group's style... We know it has to be particularly powerful given what the Exalted used it for, so... Dragon tech, maybe?

Random Reset talk again, but I can't help but love the idea that the Dragonfable Timeline is quintessentially wrong. Like it's a functional timeline, and if you ignore the weekly world-ending threat, you can live in it just fine.. But there's always something missing, right below the surface, always this underlying feeling of loss, of something being misplaced, or, inversely, of events feeling familiar. Of meeting people you've already met. It's not strong enough for most people to notice, but it's there. Everyone feels it to a certain extent, at times, when things just... don't match up... but they ignore it, dismiss it as just feelings similar to anxiety or deja-vu.

I love the idea of the timeline being, at its core, wrong. An echo of a forgotten universe that's just functional enough for people to not be able to notice what they lost

This latest release was SO GOOD in every way, but this line, especially, was so good for me, because it's so deeply fitting to who Thallen is as a person

Thallen, the hero who doesn't focus on just defeating the bad guy, the hero who wishes to bring hope to the hopeless, and inspire the downtrodden to rise up and stand for themselves, the hero who remains a beacon in dark times, the one who hopes to never stand alone This felt incredibly fitting

Random Dragonfable Theory : the Twin Dragons and Hawkscry

So, a while back, the DF devs posted this Pantheon Chart

So a bit of time ago I decided to take a stab at it, with... mixed results

However, the one I'm currently focusing on is this one

Clearly, the two green squares made alongside the Avatars by the Aequilibria are the Twin Dragons. However, this singular square beneath them bothered me... a lot. I couldn't find a proper idea of what it could possibly be And then, an idea struck me Let's go back to a poem that was the source of a previous theory of mine for me : the Hawkscry Calamity Poem

The first three animals are references to Mechquest and GEARS, right? But what about the Dragon. A reference to their disappearance in MQ? Maybe, but... how does it relate to Hawkscry But, there is something else that relates to dragons and disappearances

The twin's first Death, directly described by GenoKratos and implied by a book in the Falconreach Libraseum So, to recap Hawkscry's destruction, according to the AF2 Poem, involved a dragon, somehow, somewhere, and it resulted in this dragon's disappearance The Twin's first death was also explicitly described as a disappearance, with the source of their death unknown What if these two are linked? What if whatever caused Hawkscry's destruction also resulted in the death of one or both of the Twins. What if they were actively responsible for Hawkscry's destruction, or were simply present and caught in the explosion. Of course, all of this could be circumstantial evidence, nothing concrete... however there is one more thing that has been on my mind. And it's the text that appears if you hover your mouse over the Fissure in the Travel Map

Symbolism much?

#dragonfable #This theory isn't without flaws and potential holes however #the twins' first death is heavily implied to have been very early on in the world's life since the Great Dragons were created in answer #which maybe wouldn't have given time for Hawkscry to be formed #And the Pantheon Chart has this square on the same point in time as the Aequilibria going in slumber #However... even if this square being the Hawkscry Calamity is likely wrong....#There's symbolism here in my mind #The dragon of the Hawkscry Poem is still unexplained #Our dragon scratching out the Fissure on the map feels symbolic #And their first death is as of yet completely unexplained #And yet seems important #somehow #And let's not forget the deep hatred between the Magesterium (survivors of Hawkscry) and Dragons #As someone pointed out when I shared this theory to them #Dragons would be frenzied if Hawkscry resulted in the death of one of their own (especially one as important as one of the Twins)#and the survivors of Hawkscry could blame dragons for the destruction of their home #mutual blame-game #Also on a completely unrelated fact this made me realize that the Twin Dragons aren't technically dragons #genealogically speaking. Dragons were made in the twin's image by a completely different set of gods to replace their disappearance

Honestly each time I just want to say... hey, is Kordana magical? Just bring Kordana over to have her step on him in her giant mecha, squished like a bug

I've been catching up on the main story in Book 3 and Hansa is kind of just chilling, but if she dies they wouldn't have to worry about Jaania cuz I would blow up Lore MYSELF. My silly thoughts since I just got to Outpost Yeden:

Alexander is so silly. I've been playing so many old quests, and it's so interesting how different he is now.

I could've fixed Jaania

I HATEEEEEE the mushroom people. GOSH, I WAS IN HELL I HATE THEM SO MUCH I THOUGHT IT WASN'T GOING TO END.

I love how in these quests you can read chatter between the characters with you! Love seeing the banter.

What if they just stabbed Akanthus? That's not magical??🤷🏾‍♀️

Random Frostval theory time

So in the latest Frostval quest there was this reveal

Don't know about you all, but my first thought was... What if Holly and Tinsel are responsible for Moroz staying frozen

Not that they're doing it on purpose, but I'm sure a part of them must wonder, worry, that maybe Jacek is only staying with them because, with his father frozen, he has nowhere else to go. That maybe if Moroz was unfrozen, Jacek would leave and they'd lose their new friend.

Of course they're not wishing for Moroz to remain frozen, but the Frostval magic doesn't seem to require outright wishing to come into effect, so it doesn't feel out of the question that it could easily feed off of intrusive thoughts and insecurities.
