i found a new way to draw the trashmates: polygonal
i'm loving how these are done, and i go to a place that uses adobe illustrator or doing these has been much easier on there than on ibis--which is what i used for the first drawing where spencer quotes shrek 2. and the 6th with hex quoting that meme where the teacher rants about his students.

i think this is the first time in eons anybody's mentioned the mighty three webcomic. may as well say my piece here:
if you're into the little trashmaid (made by the same artist), you're probably going to love the mighty three. tl;dr it's about 3 people born with supernatural abilities that stop the fourth world war, and starts the story with a journalist desperate to keep her job as an author. you'll see how those two concepts connect the more you read. i mean sure it's only 3 chapters (with an extra (unfinished) chapter on tapas), but go wild regardless.

i looked at the tags of this post and i would like to mention something. ricky isn't specified as part-chinese. he's part-asian. that's why he has, allegedly, a korean last name. to quote s0s2 herself when the question was asked over the origins of ricky's design, "He is part Asian because Asia has the biggest trouble with trash." it's not any specific countries, since s0s2 doesn't wanna point fingers at any specific country since tlt IS a comic about plastic pollution; a worldwide issue. ricky's just part asian and that's all she wrote.
